POLL: Let me know in the comments:
How many countries have you visited? No airport transit counted. πβ€οΈ
YES. I visited 195 UN countries on a Philippine Passport. If including territories, Iβve been to 225.
People who donβt know my journey since 2013 usually ask me two things:
How was I able to afford traveling to every country in the world? π
And how am I sure that I really visited every country? βοΈ
For the first question, Iβll create and write a series on how I funded my journey - and how you can, too πΈβ¨
For the second one, I think Iβm one of the OG travel bloggers in the Philippines and previously more known as Kach of Two Monkeys Travelβ¦ my life is very publicly documented so I compiled everything online π
Also, thereβs a very tight-knit world traveler community like , and .world.travelers that verifies your claim or most probably fellow members met you in some extreme destinations that only country-counting people would go to.
Especially for someone like me who claims to be the 1st Philippine passport holder to visit all 195 UN-recognized countries (technically the 3rd and youngest, following in the footsteps of 2 Filipino-Americans π΅π).
During the verification, I had to gather all my visa and passport stamps, flight tickets, hotel bookings, and photos ππ Sharing some of my fave stamps and some expired visa kasi ngayon puro evisa na.
And the community doesnβt count airport transit. You need to leave the airport! No stepping out of the plane and calling it a day π
So, my fellow Filipinosβ¦ do you want to join the ranking? π
P.S. If you need help to get a digital nomad visa or tourist visa ANYWHERE in the world, check

READ THIS. Learn from my younger version mistake when I was still traveling around South America.π
That Cute Souvenir Stamp? It Could Cancel Your Passport. π«βοΈ
Most countries treat your passport as official government property - not your personal travel journal. πβ
Adding unauthorized markings, including novelty or souvenir stamps, can classify your passport as damaged or alteredβ¦ and that can make it invalid. π³
Why is this a problem?
Your passport is a government-issued travel document regulated by immigration law and international aviation standards (like ICAO rules for machine-readable passports). ππ
Only immigration officers, border control authorities, and authorized visa officials are legally allowed to stamp, annotate, or place visas inside it. β
That cute stamp from:
ποΈ Tourist attractions
ποΈ Souvenir shops
π° Theme parks
ποΈ Novelty βmicronationβ booths
β¦can legally be considered tampering or defacement. And immigration officers do not treat it as βharmless.β π¨
What can actually happen?
It depends on the country and the officer reviewing your passport - but the risks are real:
βοΈ Denied boarding by an airline
π Denied entry at immigration
π Forced passport replacement
β³ Long delays at border control
π« In extreme cases, passport cancellation
Some countries are stricter than others, and border officers have broad discretion. One random souvenir stamp isnβt worth risking your trip.
Pro traveler rule: Keep your passport clean. Collect memories - not problems. πβ¨
