FIREBATS Vs ASCC

Firebats opted for bowling and the bowlers started the match on a great note by Rahul and Yaser getting early breakthrough and the same was continued by other bowlers specially Usman who bowled beautifully to keep control on runs flowing but ASCC had good batting going down the wire they managed to post a very good total of 173 in 19 overs.

FIREBATS batsman started on a bad note as lost kapil in very first over who is known for power hitting all over the ground, promoting Rahul up the order was very useful which gives very decent partnership with Hassan who is also in great form and we lose Rahul. FIREBATS keeps on lossing wickets in every other over and half of the side was down then Noman gives us the light for winning the game with a fluent 47 runs few decisions went against us and we lost him game. ASCC team displayed good fielding and bowling which gives them a deserving win.

FIREBATS Let's concentrate on the next match and give our best shot .

About last week great performance by the team to win another final team has been great mainly in finals to come up with A game we have participated three night tournaments and we have won all of them great going guys keep up the good work .

We will playing our first night final in the very first night tournament we participated let's play to our best of ability and clinch the trophy guys .

Toss was won by us and we decided to bat first in the pressure match runs on the board and what a great start we had Karan and Youssef who started cautiously making sure no early wickets are lost and soon the boundary flow started of the bat from both batsman runs were coming thick and fast opening partnership of 68 runs was there but it ended in a runout when a misunderstanding between two batsman happen for a run then Saqlian was promoted to batting and he went there a stitch a big partnership with Karan where Karan was in full flow scoring boundary at ease and Saqlian also scoring sixes and making sure run rate is maintained the second wicket partnership of 101 was broken in 16th over when Karan completed his century and was going for more runs loosing his wicket and the innings of 118 runs came to end ,after this batsman continued to score runs and finally we managed to scored a total of 205 in the alloted 20 overs .Great total for a final .

Now it was up to the bowlers to defend the target to get the prestigious trophy of USPL and we started well with taking the highest scorer of the tournament cheaply courtesy Saqlian and a good catch by Usman at mid off and we were into the game early there after bowlers kept the bowling tight but then batsman also was counter attacking we got the second wicket in the 7th over where Prajesh took a caught and bowl of his own bowling getting their captain out . The third wicket was taken by Hassan getting rid out of their one down batsman .Then there was a small partnership of 42 runs but a crucial one by the opponent maintaing the score line but then Nadeem got rid of their middle order strong player Rishi at long on a good conformable catch taken by the Karan.
Again Nadeem took a another crucial wicket who was scoring runs at brisk a catch taken by Sohel at long off a good running catch and Nadeem had taken two big wickets in span of two overs . Vipul was introduced and match was still evenly poised where run rate of 12 was required but then Vipul stuck in his first over removing the timber of the batsman now the match was in the last 5 overs and opponent best hitter was still around , Saqlian was introduced and what a ball to bowl in a final to get their hitter a perfect unplayable Yorker ball and stumps were lying down then there was series of Yorker in that over which batsman managed to squeeze out ,runrate was increasing and now match was almost in the grab next over of Saqlian again a great Yorker and again stumps was uprooted picking this third wicket ,last over was bowled by Vipul and he took the wicket of first ball and match was done and dusted and history was created first time playing USPL and crown winners of the prestigious trophy .

Great win it was and what a performance given by the team all-round performance on a big day

Man of the match was Karan for his magnificent century .

Finally after 9 hard fought weeks we have entered into the Finals of the USPL Invitation Cup Season-2 a great display by the team to reach to this stage now let's give our one last best on the day to lift the trophy ,it will be a matter of nerves who keeps it well on the day to clinch the title .

Let's play and deliver what we have been doing specially from the last two knockout games .

Toss was lost and FireBats were asked to bowl first and we started with good discipline bowling by Karan and Saqlian they made sure not much boundaries were scored in the first 4 overs ,then Prajesh came in the first over and batsman trying to accelerate made a mistake finally and there was a skier tough catch which was taken by Prajesh himself on his own bowling and the first breakthrough was achieved by the team. In his next over Prajesh got another one where the batsman got hold out at long off then there was a small partnership for the second wicket but Usman took a crucial wicket of their opener who was playing well and scored a 50 but his innings was ended ,their inform batsman was still there in the middle but our bowlers were bowling well and was not giving him much scoring opportunity and finally we breakthrough again and this again it was Prajesh where the batsman got hold on in the deep ,again in his last over Prajesh took a another wicket this time shattering the stumps of their hitter batsman and in the process picking up his fourth ,there was another chance created by him for picking his fifth but there was a dropped chance and hence Prajesh finished an excellent bowling spell with 4/30 and a crucial time to perform for the team, Nadeem was at his usual best bowling economically but has been unlucky in wicket but he can't be kept quiet for long .Over all a great bowling display by all the bowlers for restricting the opponent to 168/6.

Knockout stage trying to enter into final all the pressure on the batting unit now to chase this target and 168 in ground no 3 is very competitive target and that what it proved to be at the start we got to a terrible start loosing Karan in the first over itself who has been giving us great start in last few matches and then soon we were reduced to 33/4 in the six overs and we were on the backfoot now the time was to absorb the pressure and not to loose anymore wickets and that's what Adnan and Usman managed to do they stitch a small partnership of 40 runs but a crucial one in the context of the game to get the nerve down and then Adnan lost his wicket trying to accelerate but Usman was still fighting at one end taking singles , doubles another wicket was lost by us in form of Saleesh who hit a crispy six but then going for another one perished again we were on the backfoot our scorecard reading was 84/6 in the 12th over needing almost half the score in the next 8overs , we needed some extraordinary innings from someone to get us through and then our Superstar Hassan who had a quiet tournament rose to th occasion that's why we called you our X - Factor he came in and what a knock he played it was a short knock but in the context of the match a might one he hit 3 Superman sixes on ground no 3 which went too far to demolarise the opponent he scored 13 ball 32 which got us back into the match but then again he got out at the wrong time which again match was in balanced state anybody games and what a game we were witnessing worthy of a Qualifier of such a big event 34 more was required of last 3.4 overs and we were already 7 down ,Noman walked in and scored two crucial boundary one six and one 4 and in between Usman is still fighting and running hard between wickets and then Noman got out and we were left to 10 runs in last over and only two wickets left again balanced between both the team this is the time for someone to become or hero and do something and that what Nadeem had in mind he hit the first ball for a crispy 4 runs through covers and then again next ball ran a two runs so six came of the first two delivery ,the third ball of the over again went for another 2 last 3 balls two was required still anybody games as opponent needed only 2 wickets , a tie ,a win or a match lost anything was still possible but then there was another run taken scored tie still needed one run or there would have been a super over a good off Yorker ball was delivered but batsman just blocked it and ran for the single to clinch the match ,what a match was witnessed by many audience who was there to watch the match an excellent game was played by both the team and cricket is of small margin that's what was seen but the energy the team has shown and played a great game throughout the tournament and specially this match was exceptional and we all ran to hug eachother and the whole team environment was thrilled, this is why we love the game ,this is why we play the game to be part of such a match a memory to cherish for long ,a game to remember for long time .Thank you whole team for making this day memorable.

Toss was lost and FireBats were asked to bowl first and we started nicely with taking the wicket in the second over courtesy Karan getting the opener bowled , we got two more good wickets in the power play courtesy Prajesh who bowled good discipline line and length bowling then after power play spiner were introduced and they totally make sure the runs flow are not coming easily with Usman finishing with 4 over 17/3 excellent bowling and Nadeem though was unlucky not to pick a wicket but he kept tight with 3 over just 14 ,Emmad and Saqlian make sure wickets are coming from their end too and Legends was only restricted to a modest total of 136/9 in 20 overs ,great display by the bowlers in the crucial Eliminator match at the knockout stage.

Starting our chase Legends bowler gave it all and was bowling good line and length and they got Emmad and Kashif out cheaply also picking up a third one with Yousef back in the pavilion and our score 39/3 in six overs . A partnership was required Sohel & Karan started ticking singles as normally this targets are tricky specially in knockout matches slowly partnership was growing and then suddenly both decided to take on and close the match boundaries were freely scored where from 10-14 over both scored 74 runs and the match was finished in 13.5 overs ,an excellent unbeaten partnership of 99 made sure match is closed and Firebats team will play now the Qualifier 2 .

Karan was awarded Man of the match for his excellent all round game in batting ,bowling .
