A recent study estimates that roughly 129 BILLION face masks are being used every single month!
Where are these masks going when not disposed of properly? Well, they're making their way to our waterways and are posing as a serious threat to wildlife.
Although face mask mandates around the world are beginning to lift as this pandemic lightens, our professional cleanup crews in Bali are continuously finding hundreds of these items littering the environment every single week.

800 whales, dolphins and porpoises are killed in fishing gear EACH DAY as bycatch!
Bycatch is the term used to describe the "accidental" capture of marine life in fishing operations.
This is by far the most serious threat to cetaceans like whales, dolphins and porpoises.
Bycatch occurs in large industrial fishing but also smaller, localised fisheries too.
Perhaps it's time we all started calling it 'By-Kill'?
