What does it take to lose weight?
1. Start with WHY?
The most important question that gives you the reason to do it. You will face challenges on your journey so it is crucial to know your WHY that will keep you going.
2. Set your goals
Realistic and well planned weight loss goals keep you focused and motivated. Be specific- walk 10000 steps a day, workout every day for 30 minutes, don’t eat sugar for a month, lose 2-4 kg a month… But keep it simple and set a time limit!
3. Believe in yourself
You must have heard powerful stories of ordinary people who managed to lose weight. If they could do it, so can YOU! Believe it and you will succeed! Even if you feel like giving up, remember why you started in the first place!
4. Take action
Don’t start tomorrow or next week or month… There is no perfect moment, so start NOW!

Why is it important to STAY HYDRATED?
It is crucial to your health and well-being to keep hydrated, but many people don’t consume enough fluids each day. Adult human body is made up of 50-70% of water and to function properly all the cells and organs need water.
Even MILD DEHYDRATION (fluid loss of 1-3%) can drain your energy, impact mood and brain performance or even trigger headaches and migraines.
Drinking water helps in preventing and relieving constipation, decreases the risk of kidney stone formation and can promote WEIGHT LOSS.
It is most important to drink plenty of water when:
You have fever
Weather is hot or humid
You have diarrhea and vomiting
You sweat a lot
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Daily water intake from food and drinks should be
3.7l (125 oz or 15,5 cups) for man
2.7l (91 oz or 11 cups) for woman
80% of the recommended intake should be from water and drinks such as milk, freshly squeezed juices, herbal teas and the rest will be from food.
Many fruits and vegetables are rich in water, like watermelon, cucumber, zucchini, oranges…

Stress at work… or at home?
Take a break and breathe for 5 minutes.
Best way to get rid of negative emotions and change our focus is BREATHING.
Find a comfortable position, close your eyes and breathe.
Deep breath in through your nose and count to 4, longer breath out through the mouth and count to 6. Relax, repeat the cycle and focus only on counting your inhale and exhale length. Your mind might fight and bring in different thoughts, push them away and keep your focus on breathing.
This will help you calm down your emotional reactions, change your thoughts and with that bring down the stress and anxiety levels.
