To sustain enjoyable fat loss the intervention must be legitimate (a calorie deficit must occur), foods and drinks previously enjoyed must still be included under caloric control, and upheaval from previous habits should be minimized.
The above can be achieved by substituting similar tasting foods and drinks containing fractional caloric volumes of the original. This example - fizzy drinks.
If one consumes original fizzy drinks and desires fat loss, swapping in zero calorie versions comparatively supports fat loss by caloric reduction, but crucially still provides familiar palatable comfort.
If fat loss is the goal, in a calendar year, one could lose 16.5 kgs of body fat by equating pre-existing lifestyle variables, only to swap these original drinks for the zero calorie versions.
