You never know how your body and your mind are going to respond to a situation until you are there… You can guess, but you never know until you are in the thick of it.

Im not after the adrenaline rush… it’s actually the opposite. In the mountains, I’d rather not feel any adrenaline. It’s the opportunity to control my mind and body and to remain calm and composed in conditions of extreme consequence.

Our minds are so much more powerful than we often realize and I will take any chance I can get to push it to the edge of the comfort zone. They say that’s where the growth is.

Throwback to the rappel down off Victoria Peak. After we climbed up out of the clouds on the summit we had to head back down into the mist.

Some of you might know her as Sally Jones, and some of you might know her as Germaine, but regardless of what you call her… this lady is 70 years young today and can still outrun me. Happy Birthday my Jones! 💛😘 Just trying to be like you when I grow up.
