Is INTENSITY more important than anything?!
We all know Intensity, Volume and Frequency are three pillars of programming. And we all know they all play equally important role. But, do they actually?
Although it depends on goal specifics, Intensity is the one, that can make other pillars redundant. Sheer volume won’t have same effect, increasing frequency won’t do, unless there is Intensity.
Whether is effort based or load measured, Intensity must be present. It is one pillar that will define your progress and it will shape your mind. So next time someone ask how hard they should go - answer is very clear.
And yes, capital I for Intensity. As it is the imperative!
Yes or Yes?

Solid weekend !
Spent 4 days at practical part of .global Level 2 Education!
Great place to explore deep into exercise mechanics and great people to do that with.
Also, humbling experience at the Dungeon. Top tier example of dedication to assemble most memorable pieces of equipment, with community to showcase top tier dedication to using them.
Next step, Mastery with Tom Purvis himself.

Summer is coming to an end. If you have fall of your tracks, now is time to get back on it.
Losing your rhythm does not mean you start from scratch. Does not mean you are re-learning everything.
It just means you have to take a step back.
Do not overthink it. Do not over complicate it.

Why do you train? And why does it matter?!
Everyone’s motivation is different. That is very important as a trainer, but also a as a part of certain community - such as gym.
While some train for the sake of their looks only, most of the population have a different motivation.
Whether that is for longevity, being better parent or simply having a better day, it is important to acknowledge one’s effort.
How someone looks is a good measure of progress. But not the only one. Knowing this and understanding it can help you endure on your journey.
Some of other indicators of progress can be:
• Normalized Blood Pressure
• Improved Strength & Endurance
• Improved Hormonal Profile
We should always aim for the perfect result, but never compare our own progress against it.
To put in my perspective, most of my posts relate to perfect exercise ex*****on, or hitting load & intensity just right, but the fact is, it will never be perfect. We can only strive towards it.
Remember that when you stumble on your journey next time.
