Proud to have finished the season as Englandโs No. 1, claiming the National Tour title in my first full year competing on the domestic circuit after several years away from a full-time national schedule.
After years of balancing selected national events around a demanding World Tour calendar, it was rewarding to commit to a full season and embrace the challenge of competing against some of the countryโs best players across a variety of courses. The standard of competition is a real credit to English FootGolf, and it has been a pleasure to share the fairways with so many talented players throughout the year.
The standout moment of the season was undoubtedly winning the English Open. Starting the final round seven shots off the lead, I produced what I consider one of my strongest performances of the year to fight my way back into contention and secure the title with a birdie on the final hole.
Across 21 tournaments, the season yielded 9 victories, 4 runner-up finishes and 2 third-place finishes, alongside a further 4 top-five and 2 top-ten finishes.
In addition to finishing top of the national rankings, I also secured the No. 1 position in the Team Player Series Championship. Winning five of the six events alongside Steven Bastin and a second-place finish with Talan Annear added to an excellent season in the pairs format.
Congratulations to all the other champions across the tourโs respective categories on their achievements this season.
Finally, a huge thank you to everyone involved with the association for their hard work, organisation and dedication throughout the year.
