According to Ariana News journalist Sayed Ahad Saroush, the following players are expected to miss tomorrow’s match against Pakistan: Jamshid Achakzai, Habib Askar, and Rahmat Akbari.
Reports suggest that Jamshid Achakzai will miss the match due to club-related matters. Habib Askar reportedly also left camp in support of Jamshid because of their close friendship.
Meanwhile, Rahmat Akbari was reportedly scheduled to leave after the final match, but has currently left the national team camp without informing officials and may have already returned to Australia.
In addition, Omid Popalzay will miss the match due to suspension after receiving two red cards.

It is unfortunate to see the mindset of Afghan football fans. Not just the average fans I mean the so called analysts and expert. When things don’t go right well it is the MANAGES fault. They make comments like Mr. Brazilian couldn’t beat Bangladesh u23. Mr. Brazilian this and that. Who ever has made a post like that, you should be ASHAMED of yourself.

Your footballs sucks because

1- There is not grassroots
2- There is no football passion within the average Afghan household
3- half of your population (women) are not even allowed to play football. Who is suppose to-raise an athlete? By them not playing you lose 50% of the game off and on the field
4- There is no private sector investment in football
5- The federation is ran by morons and always has been.
6- we Afghans collectively will never get a long and be united to support one cause one goal one vision for a long time. It will ways comes to I am better and I can do better and so on
7- 90% of our population are made of pure lazy people. They will ever do anything to change their fate and destiny.
8- Every football team I mean everY professional team around the world plans for years ahead, invest in their youth program 10 to 15 years in advance. They stick to the plan regardless of the tough times. They change personal not the whole system till they get result. We fight till the week or days before a big game and we don’t even know now who is in the camp who got invited and why.
9- we hire foreign personal to use the things that they have learned over time. To transfer that to our team. But when we bring Mr. Brazil or Mr. Germany or whomever Mr. Karger and crew wants them to become Afghan and do what the geniuses in federation says so
10- the sad part is that we always have good young players inside and outside Afghanistan. They have passion to play for Afghanistan…players like Noor Husin, Nabizada. Farshad Noor, Omid Musawi, Musawer Ahadi, Omid Poplzay and so on but because of the point I mentioned 1-9 we fail to built a team around them. Without a solid foundation we will never go anywhere. The last 25 years is prime example.

SO STOP POINTING FINGERS AT COACHES AND TRAINERS ABS PEOPLE THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FAILURE ID OUR FOOTBALL

The Australian Afghan Football Federation urges families, players, and the broader community to exercise caution and responsibility when engaging with individuals or organisations claiming to offer professional football pathways.

While genuine opportunities in football do exist, the Federation highlights a growing concern around misleading claims and false promises made by unverified agents and intermediaries. These individuals often exploit the ambitions of young athletes and their families by promoting unrealistic outcomes, claiming false affiliations with professional clubs, and encouraging significant financial commitments without legitimate pathways.

The Federation emphasises that parents are not at fault, recognising their natural desire to support their children’s dreams. However, it warns that this hope is increasingly being targeted through emotional manipulation and misinformation.

Recent examples of false claims involving youth players and major European clubs further reinforce the need for independent verification. The Federation stresses that legitimate football pathways are transparent, structured, and clearly communicated—without guarantees of success.

Families are strongly encouraged to:

* independently verify all claims and affiliations
* seek advice from reputable football professionals
* request documented evidence of opportunities
* exercise caution when financial commitments are involved

The Federation reiterates that safeguarding young athletes must remain the highest priority. False promises not only lead to financial loss but can also harm a child’s confidence and long-term development in sport.

The Australian Afghan Football Federation calls on the community to stand united in promoting integrity, accountability, and truth within football pathways.
