A-Team First Austrian Walking Football Club

Am Samstag, den 8.8.2026 hatten wir die Ehre bei strahlendem Sonnenschein und heißen Temperaturen am ersten und größten Benefiz WF Turnier Österreichs, ausgerichtet von WF Pottenstein, teilzunehmen.⚽
Auf Grund von Urlauben waren wir dezimiert, aber Loisi, ein großartiger Fussballer und Freund unseres All-rounders Rob , half uns aus.

Wir durften eine großartige Stimmung, tolle Schiedsrichter und geniale Teamleistungen miterleben.
Die Organisation war überwältigend, neue Freundschaften wurden geschlossen.
Wundervoll zu erkennen war, dass Walking Football nun auch in Österreich immer mehr Fuß fast.⚽

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, we had the honor of participating in Austria's first and largest charity Walking Football tournament, hosted by WF Pottenstein, under brilliant sunshine and hot temperatures. ⚽ Due to vacations, our team was short-handed, but Loisi, a fantastic footballer and friend of our all-rounder Rob, stepped in to help.

Thanks, Loisi! 💪 We experienced a fantastic atmosphere, great referees, and brilliant team performances.

The organization was superb, and new friendships were formed.

It was wonderful to see that Walking Football is gaining more and more popularity in Austria. ⚽

Schön, dass Walking Football nun auch stetig in 🇦🇹 wächst

Am Samstag, den 20.6.2026 durften wir am ersten WF Turnier des WF Korneuburg teilnehmen.👍
Wir bildeten diesmal eine Spielgemeinschaft mit den Herren des WF Rotary - ein großes Dankeschön an Helmut, Till, Alex, Fritz, Siggi und Franz (gute Besserung 💪).
Bei sehr hohen Temperaturen (34° C) und blauem Himmel erlebten wir großteils faire Spiele, tolle Kombinationen, schöne Spielzüge und tollen Zusammenhalt.
Glücklicherweise gab es keine gröberen Verletzungen.
Besonders danken wir Kurt vom WF Korneuburg , welcher dieses großartige Turnier ins Leben gerufen hat. Ein herzliches Dankeschön auch an Sarah, die "Sportfotografin"☺️
Danke auch an WF Rotary für das nette Zusammenspiel.

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, we had the pleasure of participating in the first WF tournament hosted by WF Korneuburg. 👍
This time, we formed a joint team with the gentlemen of WF Rotary – a big thank you to Helmut, Till, Alex, Fritz, Siggi, and Franz (get well soon 💪).

Despite the very high temperatures (34°C) and clear blue skies, we enjoyed mostly fair play, great combinations, beautiful rallies, and fantastic team spirit.

Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.

A special thank you goes to Kurt from WF Korneuburg, who initiated this wonderful tournament. A heartfelt thank you also to Sarah, the "sports photographer" ☺️
Thanks as well to WF Rotary for the enjoyable tournament.

Am Donnerstag, den 4.6.2026 nahmen wir an dem Benefizturnier des FC Mariahilf teil.⚽
4 Teams standen bei der Gruppe 55+ am Start - ein Team, nämlich Football Korneuburg, kannten wir nicht.
Dies änderte sich jedoch noch vor Beginn des Turniers - feine Menschen in diesem Team.😊 Schön, dass wir sie kennenlernen durften und wir sehen uns bestimmt bald wieder.
Die Spiele liefen durchwegs fair ab, bei strahlendem Sonnenschein und heißen Temperaturen waren schöne Spielzüge und Zusammenhalt erkennbar.
Leider fehlt es uns noch ein wenig an Zielsicherheit😜...
Somit belegten wir den vierten Platz - gewonnen haben wir trotzdem wieder: an Erfahrung und neue Freunde😊

On Thursday, June 4th, 2026, we participated in the FC Mariahilf charity tournament. ⚽
Four teams competed in the 55+ group – one team, Football Korneuburg, was new to us.
However, this changed before the tournament even started – they were such great people! 😊 It was wonderful to meet them, and we're sure we'll see them again soon.
The games were all played fairly, and under bright sunshine and hot temperatures, some beautiful plays and great team spirit were evident. Unfortunately, we still need to work on our aim a bit 😜... So we finished in fourth place – but we still came away with a win: experience and new friends! 😊
That's exactly what Walking Football is all about! ⚽💪🫂
