within the framework of Marie Curie ITN (Initial Training Networks) dealing with the numerical and physical simulation of landslides and debris flows.

MuMoLaDe connects 13 full partners with 8 associated partners in a consortium which engages key private stakeholders over several sectors: authorities, engineering, contractors, manufacturers and software houses. MuMoLaDe brings some of the world’s finest researchers together to provide high quality training and research.

The traditional doctoral school within ALERT was held online for the first time. The school with the focus on point-based numerical methods in geomechanics was organized by Prof. Pastor (Technical University of Madrid, Spain) and myself. The school was a great success and attracted more than 300 young researchers from Europe, Australia, China and India. Thanks to all speakers and organizers for the great job!
