Yesterday we headed out to Morgan Dirt Kart Club Inc for the first practice of the year. Despite a few nerves, Ella shook them off, jumped in her kart, and gave it a shot, taking on her first ever laps in a dirt kart with a KT engine.

The goal was simple: get out there, learn, build confidence, stay consistent, and most importantly have fun. And she did exactly that.

It turned into a pretty warm day, but despite the heat it was a great day out for the whole family. There’s still plenty to learn, but the day was a success. Ella is already keen to get back out for the next practice day and continue improving, finishing the night with a smile on her face.

This year marks the start of something pretty special for our family, as our daughter Ella takes on her very first season in dirt kart racing. At 15 years old, she’ll be lining up in the KT Light class for her debut year in the sport.

After plenty of time in the shed, her kart is finally back together — freshly powder coated with a pink chassis and finished off with a brand new BRK sticker kit — and we couldn’t be more excited to see it come to life on the track.

We’ve created Foster Motorsport to document Ella’s journey, share the highs, the challenges, the learning curves and everything in between as she steps into the world of dirt kart racing. This is her foundation year, and we’re so proud of the courage it’s taken to jump in and give it a crack.

Here’s to new beginnings, big goals and one exciting season ahead 🏁💗
