Declutter with Cindy

My new mission is to stop so much food waste in our house. We buy lots of fruit and veg that quite often doesn’t get eaten in time and then we throw it out.😡🤯🥺It drives me crazy!! 🤪So now what I do is if the fruit and veg is not going to get eaten, I chop it all up and pop it in the freezer for when I do a batch cook. They go in dishes like curry’s, bolognaise, stirfys and dessert pies and crumbles.😋😋 This is also great for when you’re teaching kids to chop food up and also helps with motivation for them to cook when stuff is already chopped and they just have to add it in 🥳.

This bear is called Boris. He has been a part of our home since my eldest daughter was born over 19years ago. My husband bought him for her. He has moved from room to room and we have tried to move him on a few times but here he is, still with us. I am thinking I might as well save him for the grandbabies now! 😂 I am usually very good at moving things along but I think Boris is here to stay. 🥰

Potting Station is now complete. What do you think? I love it! 😍It will give me somewhere to store all of my spare pots 🪴 I found this bench next to a dumpster and a couple of my lovely friends managed to get it home for me. It wouldn’t fit in my car no matter how hard I tried 🤣. I gave it a lick of paint and some linseed soak. The pictures were painted by my very talented friend and are available by commission 😉 The little duck I bought at a market in Maree South Australia. She came with a man duck but I broke him 😭If any one knows where I could get another one, let me know!

I have a plant addiction which I need to curb. Anyone else? 🙋🏻‍♀️On one hand I really love them and can’t stop buying them but on the other they cause me stress from having to care for them and trying to keep them alive. Whats the solution 🤔 Until I come up with one I will just keep rearranging them which in itself is very therapeutic 😌 🌼🌸🌺

How’s your New Year’s resolutions going? One of mine was to not buy any more plants….I am failing miserably haha 😂🌱It was always going to be a hard one to keep!

If you have space in your house that tends to get cluttered, try moving the clutter and place a plant there instead. Try it and think about how that feels when you move through the room and your eyes see the plant instead of the mess that needs to be sorted. I promise you it will feel so much better 😌
