Vale Jim Johnston

The Branch is saddened to hear of the passing of Jim Johnston. Jim showed a commitment to football in South Australia, and refereed in the NSL. He is a life member of the Soccer SA Referee Branch as well as a life member of SA Football Referees Association (SAFRA).

We send our condolences to the Johnston family and friends during this time.

Congratulations to the SA represenatives on the FIFA lists of internantional referees for 2024.

This includes the new addition of Izzi Blaess who achieves the status for the first time!!

A wonderful achievement and sign of her dedication and performance.

It is with great sadness we have been advised of the recent passing of Soccer SA Referee Branch life member John Tarling.

John’s commitment to refereeing was immense acting as a referee, assessor and administrator during his long involvement in the game. This coupled with his involvement within the branch at a committee level can not be understated.

Once more details are available we will pass onto our members but at this time we send our condolences to the Tarling family

Congratulations to Craig Zetter who has been announced as part of this years Football SA Life Member inductees.

Craig is currently representing Australia in Uzbekistan as an assessor for the AFC U23 Asian Cup.
