Kingfish Candy!

Excuse the backyard photo, we don’t have much room at the moment due to moving. Have a new board made up of some of the hot favourites at the moment leaving the door. Jigs are all around the 160-200g range with the hot sellers being the unicolour in Pike colour, Resurrection in toffee apple, Rebirth in green/gold and also the unicolor in Troutie colour too. A few more colours coming out soon and I’m sure they’ll get a feature on the board very soon.

Anyone scale tommies in a scaler bag? I usually hand scale them, but this time I decided to try towing them in with a few whiting. They came up clean enough, but a tad softer than normal - which I had anticipated.

What I hadn’t anticipated was their excessively “fishy” taste. Much stronger than normal.

Has anyone else who has bag scaled tommies noticed this?

🎣 Port Vincent Fisherman’s Jetty 🎣

Jetty #2 is renewed through the collaborative funding agreement between Council and the State Government👏🏼

Different to our completed project in Ardrossan and started project in Edithburgh, this renewal is a completely new build, providing a strong and secure structure for generations to come.

Importantly, the engineering has also been designed to allow the current structure to be extended in the future, giving us options as the needs of the community and users grow.

The SA Jetties Renewal Program has made projects like this possible, and Council is already looking ahead to where we can go next.

Of course, future opportunities are strongly dependent on the funding available through the State Government, and we will continue to advocate for investment in our jetties and coastal infrastructure across the Yorke Peninsula.
