We were saddened to learn of Ross van Enckavort’s passing. Not only was he one of the best rod builders/tackle technicians ever, Ross was simply a great human being. May he now rest in peace.

This year, competition tickets are just $15 for Adults and $10 for Juniors.

Reef Encounters are seeking a deckhand for the 26/27 season, with a start date set for October 1st. Whilst a love of fishing and a passion for the ocean are great assets, we’re primarily looking for someone with an easy going personality who will build an excellent rapport with all our customers. You’ll need the ability to provide a great all round experience, have a willingness to learn, keen attention to detail, and an optimistic approach to your work. In return, we’ll provide a great working environment, competitive pay rates, and all the training necessary to get your oceanic skills up to date! This job presents experiences like no other - living and working on the ocean amongst a great community of people, you are bound to have a memorable journey as a part of our team!

The details:
- Casual position incl. weekends
- Seasonal (Oct. - June)

Must have or be willing to obtain:
- Boat license
- Shipboard Safety Skillset

A training period will take place for the successful candidate, assisted by previous deckhands. We look forward to seeing your application 🙌
