If we don’t speak up they still won’t have anywhere to ride locally. Next Council meeting is this Tuesday 18/2 @ 7pm love to see you there 🛹

Apologies to all our followers for the radio silence - 2024 wasn’t a productive year on the skatepark topic at Burnside Council. With rate rises high on the agenda and the departure of the CEO, finding the right time to bring back to Council seemed difficult. So fast forward to 2025 and we are back on…

That is the result from last nights vote on the pump track proposal at Burnside Council. 10/12 and it could have been 12/12 as 2 Councillors were not present for the meeting. It is a sign that we are being heard, as the results from the community consultation reflected the need for the is facility. It’s a nice feeling to be acknowledged by majority of Council, but it’s a shame the process is so laborious & will most likely be repeated in 15months time.

Your participation in the Burnside Council survey back in June counted. Here are the stats that validate the need to keep the pump track.

It’s the last day to submit your thoughts on the Burnside Council’s pump track facility. It takes a large part of the community to make a statement, it’s important to have your say on what Council will and won’t provide for you as a resident. It’s even more important for the kids who live here to have a positive impact on their surroundings. DM us if you haven’t gotten around to it, we can help you to join in!

It’s about time for a good news story on our feed, sharing this one thanks to Most of us would know this to be true but if only those who have made their minds up without the experience of a skatepark would read and consider this to be the actual case majority of the time!
