🎬 The showreel reality check that changed everything for me...
I used to think posting my first showreel everywhere was the power move. Turns out, I was dead wrong.
Here's what actually works (learned this from some industry vets):
Once your skills are solid and repeatable, definitely create that showreel. But here's the game-changer - before you blast it on social media, share it privately with someone experienced in the industry first.
I know it's intimidating to ask for feedback, but getting honest criticism from a mentor is pure gold. They'll spot things you missed and help you avoid those cringe moments we've all had.
Whether you're in stunts, acting, or behind the camera - this applies to everyone building their reel.
It's so much better to fail small with guidance than to fail big all alone.
What's your biggest showreel challenge right now? And if you're working on developing those camera-ready fight skills, I've got some resources that might help 👇
