We made it to the end of the Adelaide Grand Final! Definitely went through thick and thin to get there but it wasn’t possible with the help from Ben Gallyer, Tom Morrison, Ain Morrison, Jarrod Currie and Adam Currie all donating their weekend to swing spanners. Was amazing to finally experience the streets of Adelaide, a track 20 minutes from home that I’ve dreamed of turning laps at my entire life. We even managed to bring home a trophy for ARC rising star, something I didn’t expect but am very grateful to accept. We will reset and rebuild over the off season and see what we can do next year on some pretty cool tracks in an amazing category. Huge thanks to all my sponsors and supporters who stuck by and supported me on a challenging weekend, your support is really appreciated. Looking forward to hitting the track again later this week as I join Shaun Burger in the Hyundai Excel Enduro at the bend!

Another shocking day to add to the ADL 500 collection. Had coil pack issues all through race 1, while also finding the wall with the rear of the car in the opening lap. Felt like race 2 was going to be the break through race for the weekend, until I was left with nowhere to go in the lap 1 pile up at turn 4. The chassis was deemed a write off with the front end pushed over beyond repair, but we’ve got it together to see if we can make anything work tomorrow in the final race.

If we didn’t have bad luck, we’d have no luck… Day 2 at the Adelaide Grand Final in the Dormer HVAC Services Aussie Racing Car, and another DNF for the weekend. Unfortunately didn’t even make it past lap 1 in race 1 today due to more gearbox dramas. Once again, we’ve fixed the car and ready to let all the steam go in race 2 tomorrow morning. A massive thanks goes to all the supporters that help make this weekend happen.

Not quite how I wanted to spend day 1 at the Adelaide Grand Final. Been a big day of work resulting in an engine change. Chased gearbox and brake troubles all day, sitting out all of practice and still dealt with issues throughout qualifying. Hopefully we have ironed out all of the problems and can chase a good result tomorrow from 24th.

Finally coming back to reality after last weekend, but once again, it’s race week! This weekend I will be racing in the The Sedan Hotel Flipside Energy saloon car, in the Action Line Marking - Unsecured Finance Saloon Car Racing Australia Nationals! Been exactly a year to the day since I last drove one of these beasts, so keen to get after it!

What a roller coaster of a weekend.

On Saturday we lost one of our best mates in the racing paddock. One of the nicest guys in South Australian Motorsport taken from us far too soon. Saturdays race was abandoned as a category agreement in respect for Shane and his family. Sunday was definitely a tough day for a lot of us. Rolling around behind Shane’s car in the final race was an extremely honouring experience, getting to see the bumper of his car in front of us for one final time.
I went out with nothing but Shane on my mind and tried to race hard like he would’ve wanted, and managed to take home p10 overall after some pretty rookie moments in race 3 and 4. It was very moving to see the impact that he had on the category and the sport in general after we lost him.

All in all it was a pretty successful weekend, cracking into the top 10, and not having a single hiccup from our engine we built in the garage at home.
I would once again like to thank everyone who helped me get out on track this weekend, including the generous people in my supporters club!

My deepest thoughts go out to Shane’s family and friends, he was one of a kind.

Absolutely shattering day yesterday. We lost a mate, a mentor and a fellow competitor loved by all. It was truly a pleasure having the opportunity to race against you and always be the first one to have good banter after the race. You will be deeply missed by the entire community, and I will forever miss our laughs at the track. Rest easy Shane.

Day 2 out at the bend today. Pretty successful first race back in the Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series yesterday! Can’t wait to get out for race 2 today and see if we can stay in the top 10 again!

Race week!! This weekend we will be hitting the track for our first national Aussie Racing Car event of the season at The Bend AirTouch 500.
