Northern Lights Netball Club would like to express sincere appreciation to the Elizabeth Netball Association and Smithfield Panthers Netball Club for hosting a wonderful Indigenous Round event last night.
Congratulations are extended to our C1 and D5 teams on their match wins. Notably, C1 player Letitia received the Best Player award for her outstanding performance in the C1 game, as recognised by Smithfield.
Appreciation is also given to the B1, C3, and D6 teams for their dedication and perseverance, evident despite the final scores.
Above all, gratitude is acknowledged for the opportunity to live, work, and play on Kaurna Land - land that always was, and always will be, Aboriginal Land.

ALWAYS WAS. ALWAYS WILL BE.
This week, Northern Lights Netball Club proudly acknowledges and celebrates National Reconciliation Week and First Nations Round at Elizabeth Netball Association.
Reconciliation Week is an important opportunity for all Australians to reflect on our shared history, learn from the past, and continue working together towards respect, understanding and unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.
As a club, we acknowledge that we train, play and gather on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people, the Traditional Custodians of the Adelaide Plains. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our community.
Sport has the power to bring people together, create connection and strengthen community. First Nations Round is a chance to recognise and celebrate the rich cultures, histories, resilience and contributions of First Nations peoples, both within netball and beyond.
At Northern Lights, we are committed to creating an inclusive, respectful and supportive environment for everyone who is part of our club community. We stand together in the spirit of reconciliation, learning and unity. ✨

PLAYER MILESTONE | 💜🩵
Jenna has one of the most impressive shooting styles and we’ve been lucky enough to be in awe of them for 100 games!
Jenna and her SADNA C1 team brought home an impressive win last night whilst celebrating her special milestone! Her team even surprised her with a special cake to celebrate!
Jenna is an incredibly diverse player. She plays in goals, defence and the mid court.. put any bib on her and she’ll smash it! As well as her incredible talent, Jenna is also a beautiful soul with a big smile and a warm heart. We are so lucky to call her our teammate and friend!
Congratulations on your 100th game, Jen Jen!

Did he want to play, or was he forced to play? We may never know. But now every WA trembles in fear as they take court against him.
Matt brings enthusiasm and good vibes to every game and like fine wine he’s getting better every week. His long limbs and impressive standing jump make deflections and intercepts look easy!
We love having him in our club and hopefully his knees will let him reach is next player milestone.. 🤭
Congratulations on playing your 50th game with Northern Lights NC, Matt!

Meet our SADNA 4 team! This season Scott & Brayden have joined forces to bring their combination of sound netball knowledge, encouragement, and humour to our coaching team! Leading our SADNA 4 team in a pretty solid season start, Team Faber are already proving to be a valuable addition to our club community.
We are loving the positivity, the teamwork and the cohesion this team are already displaying this season. We can’t wait to see what you achieve this Winter!

Meet our SADNA 1 team! This team looks a little different this season with the addition of our newly appointed Vice Captain Dana, who joins our continuing player & Captain, Krysta and coach Lachlan in leading the team this Winter season.
We are also excited to welcome Letisha back to SADNA after having a few seasons off. It’s so good to have you back on court with us! We also welcome back Emma who is retuning to us gradually from injury in an Assistant Coach role until she can rejoin us back on the court! We’re so happy to have you!

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to help out at the BBQ on Saturday. Your support, effort and willingness to lend a hand never goes unnoticed.
We truly wouldn’t be where we are without the endless support from our club community - our players, coaches, partners, families and committee members.
Fundraisers like these are only possible because of the people who continue to show up and support our club in so many ways.
Thank you all for being such a big part of what makes our club so special 💜🩵

Congratulations Rachel on playing your 50th game with Northern Lights! A true WA, she’s literally always “there if you need” both on the court, and off!
Rachel came to us not all that long ago and has racked up an impressive number of games in just a short time playing across our SADNA, ENA and Mixed competitions. Playing in multiple finals campaigns, Rachel has fit in to our club community perfectly.
Well done on reaching your first milestone with us! We are excited to continue taking court with you!
Shine bright! ✨
