Peer Support Coordinator - Young Parents Program

The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young parents?
The Young Parents Program (TYPP) seeks a dedicated Peer Support Worker to join our innovative, co-designed peer program.
This role is pivotal in helping young mothers feel safe, connected, and empowered to thrive.
As a Peer Support Coordinator, you will assist the Program Coordinator in delivering and enhancing the program, leveraging your own lived experience to support and inspire others. You will play a crucial role in engaging young parents, sharing stories of strength and hope, and collaborating with Junction partners to improve our approach continuously.

Our Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking a people person who:
Has lived experience of parenting aged 25 and under, while navigating:
stresses that impacted their experience of parenting
limited family or social supports
seeking and/or receiving support from child and family services
Has experience or a strong interest in peer or lived‑experience-based work
Can safely, intentionally and appropriately use lived experience to support young parents
Demonstrates strong relationship‑building, communication and interpersonal skills
Is confident working both 1:1 and within group settings
Is able to support basic coordination tasks, including resource preparation and program administration
Maintains strong professional boundaries, reflective practice and commitment to self‑care
Peer worker training experience is desirable but not essential — support and development will be provided.

The Opportunity:
This is more than a job — it’s an opportunity to use your lived experience to create meaningful change for young parents and their children.
As a Peer Support – Community Connector in the Young Parents Program (TYPP), you will work alongside the Program Manager, Coordinator and a dedicated team to support young mothers to feel safe, connected and empowered.
Your lived experience will be central to fostering trust, hope and a sense of belonging.
Grounded in relationship-building, you will warmly engage young parents into the program, create and support group activities that strengthen peer connections, and help participants access services, build confidence and connect with their communities. You will actively listen to and learn from young parents, contributing to a program that is responsive and shaped by their voices.
You will also play a key role in strengthening service pathways by building connections across the family support sector, supporting warm referrals and promoting young-parent-friendly networks.
Through your work, you will help ensure the program remains strengths-based, trauma-informed and responsive to the lived realities of young parents, while also benefiting from peer work training and supervision to support your own professional growth.

Adelaide Visitor Centre - Indigenous Artist EOI
A great opportunity we have for indigenous artists (ideally Kaurna or South Australian). We are supporting the City of Adelaide to launch a visitor centre to be located in the South Australian library, which we hope to include some indigenous artworks. These will be either developed digitally or digitalised by our team and projected within the centre.
