If round 1 was the preview round 2 was the main event. With rain falling continuously overnight and into the day we were greeted with conditions that made round 1 look dry. Strong rides for everyone through the slop saw Griff take P5 and Talia take P6. Unfortunately Luke had to withdraw after injuring his knee.

Cross is back! In what may be the first wet weekend of national level cross racing since 2019 we have three riders in action.
Griffin Knight: “Good to be back out in the mud on my focus mares, ripping a few sand corners and getting a bit sideways in the clay sections. Return to racing was a shock but a nice outcome with 5th”

Talia Simpson: “Day 1 of the Cyclocross National Series in Adelaide. I had a close race in the elite womens field against some speedy ladies, and managed to pull back a place in the last 2 laps giving me 4th place- so stoked!”
