Today, Sunday, March 8, marks International Women’s Day 2026, a day dedicated to honoring the achievements of women and advocating for a future where every girl is safe, heard, and free to shape her own path.

​In synchronised skating, we often talk about the power of the "unison" that magical moment when a group of individual skaters move across the ice as one.

But this unity isn't born from being the same; it's born from the diverse strengths, resilience, and unique spirits of every young lady on our team.

​At Adelaide Ice Magic, we see this strength every time we take to the ice at Thebarton. Whether it’s balancing the demands of work, study, and family or pushing through the physical rigors of a new program, the women of our club embody this year's theme: Balance the Scales.

​Just as we strive for perfect balance in a traveling circle or a complex intersection, we stand together to champion equality and opportunity for women and girls in sport and beyond.

​To our skaters: You are the heart and soul of this team. Your determination and grace inspire everyone who watches you glide.

​To our coaches and volunteers: Thank you for your leadership and for mentoring the next generation of champions.

​To our community: Thank you for supporting the journey of these incredible athletes.

So proud of our Basic Novice Team! After achieving the International Score at the 2024 Australian Championships, they joined our Mixed Age girls to represent Australia, competing against over 10 countries. They placed 7th at the Mozart Cup in Austria and 8th at the Dresden Cup in Germany - an incredible achievement!
