I am I product of what I do consistently.

People think that one good day/week will change everything... Damn you need to check that s**t.

Consistency and being patient. šŸ”‘

You are a product of your environment. So choose the environment that will best develop you toward your objective. Analyze your life in terms of its environment. Are the things around you helping you toward success - or are they holding you back?

I’ll always be my own hardest critic because I expect more from myself then just average.

Something lifting has taught me over the years is how to apply it into different areas of my life and it’s something I’m forever grateful for.

In saying that, take your wins and milestones. It’s all apart of the journey.

Celebrate your f**ken PBs then get back to work.

Be disciplined or be disappointed.
-
Over the years Ive been constantly learning and growing in how to better myself through experience and other different forms education.
-
A few things I’ve learnt from doing fitness competitively aka fast fitness šŸ’Ø
-
1. Being mentally prepared to go into the hurt locker. A lot of people don’t know the feeling of ā€œ hurt lockerā€ because they stop or slow down because the s**t hurts. (yes it’s totally subjective in terms of mindset) but if you’re willing to hurt and push yourself you’ll find it. In a competitive setting assault bikes seem to put me in that space all the time.

2. Pace and breathing. Totally over looked in my opinion is pace. I like to ask myself questions like this.
Am I being as efficient as I can be?
Am I still able to breath through your nose? Am I saving energy on things you are good at?

3. Strength!! 100% depends on the type of competitive format you’re on. Don’t neglect it because it’s your base. As humans we want to be 1st, move faster, take over people and push harder. This comes from strength and power. When programmed well, this gives you that edge! I see it all the time people rock up cardiovascular fit but weak as p**s... don’t neglect it.

Are you a product of what you preach or are you just a preacher that hopes people will listen?
-
It’s funny how over the years my mindset has changed on certain methods and beliefs I use to have.
-
I had very set ā€œgrindā€mentality the 4am training sessions, running on 4 hours sleep while training the f**ken house down, sleep when I’m dead blah blah list goes on šŸ˜‘
-
To now. I’ve got a more is less approach. Train smarter, move effectively and rest more consistently. Sleep is my best friend. More well planned when I do decide to push either my strength or cardiovascular fitness.
-
Don’t get me wrong, I took away some awesome things from the grind mentality like pushing through certain mental blocks. Some people never are able to get past.
-
I enjoy finding things that can change my mind and challenge old thoughts I had. For me, it means growth.

All the time I get ā€œoh well that’s lifeā€ nah f**k that s**t.
Why you settling bro? Just to turn your head around at 60 years old to say I probably should of given that a go.

Why’s everyone so scared to be a individual... speak different, do different, live different, be different.
What’s successful to you? Because to me I see a lot of mother f**kers chasing s**t to impress others. Dude that s**t will leave you empty. If you haven’t figured it out yet, wake up son.

Fall in love with boring. šŸ¤“

I hear it all the time people want more. Always ask for more, when really they can’t even adhere to the basic principles of strength training.
There’s nothing sexy about a time line of 3 years or more... Wait what do you mean I won’t get that in 6 weeks....šŸ˜‚

Corny but true take aways:
Be consistent
Work hard (longer then 8 weeks)
Understand your intention
Be prepared to be patient
Get a good coach
