Scored a Preliminary Feature Win!

Had good pace majority of the night, found myself in a lot of battles. We definitely learnt some things for when the track slickens off. The job is far from done though as we wash up in preparation for the final night of action.

Quick Results:
Heat 1: 4th to 2nd
Heat 2: 7th to 3rd
Preliminary Feature: 3rd to 1st

Struggled to get the starts right all night though once we got rolling I found a good rhythm. Was fortunate being the second place car in the feature as it gave me an opportunity to look around. After the last restart we were able to capitalise on the leader to just edge him out for the lead.

Night Cut Short At Nash Memorial

We had good pace early, though an electrical/fuel issue surfaced at the end of our first heat. Changed injectors which didn’t help for the Dash completing that on 5 cylinders, tried a bit more though ran out of time due to extremely tight schedule.

Quick Results
Qualifying: 1st
Heat 1: 4th to 2nd
Dash: 2nd to 4th
Feature: 8th to DNF

We rolled out for the feature hoping it was sorted though at the first caution it started to play up again. We chose the safe option to pull to the infield prior to the second race start to ensure we did not cause a wreck.

The car has been stripped, washed and prepped this morning at the track, we are hoping the issue has been rectified. Appreciate the Perth Motorplex for helping us get a stretch of their facility to give the car a shakedown on the bitumen.

Next stop Friday night, back at the Plex to take on the last title of the Aussie Tour!

Recognising the Outlaw 🤠

Tonight we set our sights back on the Wingless Sprints W.A Des Nash Memorial. It has 10,550 reasons to try and get to the pointy end. Really looking forward to getting amongst it.

This event has us racing a different format in true outlaw fashion.

1 Heat (Top 4 invert of qualifying)
A Dash (Top 10 odd Feature Qualifiers 1,3,5,etc)
B Dash (Top 10 even Feature Qualifiers)
Last Chance Qualifier

13 Years ⏳

A really cool thing popped up on my feed this morning. 13 years ago today I started racing, the first photo was actually taken by Wade Aunger at my first Sunraysia Dirt Karters meeting in Mildura.

Who would’ve thought after all this time we would be here, crazy to think Wade then commentated and captured our victory all these years later.
