For heat 3 yesterday we did a gearing change but reverted back to our normal tuning
Despite the chaos and restarts Erin nearly found her way to the front from the back!

Bit of a test n tune day today here at Angas Go Kart Club.
Erin is in the drivers seat trying stuff out for Sean's kt twin so we'll see where she ends up.
If all is going well we might see her up the front at the end but today is all about getting a few ideas sorted!

Lucky 7's Adelaide Dirt Kart Club
Sat 11th & Sun 12th April 2026
With a lot of rain about leading up to the weekend we weren't really sure if this one would go ahead but thanks to some hard work by a few, it did!
And we're glad it did 👌
The format was 6 heats of 7 laps, followed by a 3 lap timed shootout for the top 7 in points. The fastest driver of the group would then start on pole for a 10 lap, winner take all final. Then in keeping with the Lucky 7's theme 7th place overall would win a nice little prize pack from Lightning Karts while the top 3 took home some cool trophies.
Erin had a great day on Saturday finishing up near the front in a couple of races which would have her in 4th or 5th place on points going into day 2.
Unfortunately 2 dnf's due to a dropped chain in heat 5 and being in the wrong place at the wrong time in heat 6 meant she would start the final out of 10th rather than getting a crack at the pole shootout.
She drove very well in the final making her way up to 7th place where she caught the next group of karts but ran out of time to make any moves, but she did set the fastest lap of the race in the process.
At least she got the Lucky 7's prize pack I guess!
Sean raced in KT Twins again but struggled through a few engine problems and a general lack of pace.
Somehow he managed to successfully finish enough races to earn another probationary A Grade sign off which was the main priority for the weekend.
Thanks to everyone who helped keep both kids karts going and pushed them off etc while Tracy and I were busy being officials for the event. Very much appreciated 👊
Here's a few cool pics by Chloe from Foster Photography. Nice work mate 👍

2 out of 2 ain't bad!
That's 2 wins from 2 starts in KT Light's at Angas Go-Kart Club for Erin. Even with a few kart issues she pressed on today and landed her first podium of the year, well done Sweet 👌
It was cool to see her start from pole in the final with the kids old friend Tom on P2. 😎 (Tom finished 3rd)
Sean didn't have the best day in 125M, the kart wasn't particularly fast and he is starting to get too heavy to stay a medium weighing in only a few kg short of the minimum for 125H. We'll look at all of that a bit more closely before our next show in a couple of weeks.
He was solid in the KT Twin though. He's still not quite on the pace of the quickest guys but that's to be expected in only his 3rd event in A Grade.
He did finish every race this week and achieved a well deserved signature in his log book (2 to go)
We'll post full results and some pictures in the next few days 👊

Renmark Dirt Kart Club
Saturday 21/3/26
On Friday arvo Sean, Erin and I headed up to Renmark to camp overnight and race on Saturday.
We had a cracker night with the dirt kart crew and then woke up early to get ready for racing.
Sean was racing 2 Hustler karts (KT Twins and KT Heavy), both owned by David Garnett Motorsport and Erin was having her 2nd run in her new Omega Racing Karts in KT Light's.
I was asked to help steward the meeting so the kids were left with Dave and Phil and I went off to help the club. Thanks to Paul Brooks for helping Erin, much appreciated 👌
Unfortunately the new track surface wasn't really up to the job and despite everyone's best efforts we only got 3 out of 5 rounds done. I really feel for the Renmark crew, they've worked their arses off and it's not really come together for them. Fingers crossed they can pull a rabbit out of the hat and make the track decent for the upcoming SA Titles. 🤞🤞🤞
Because we only did 3 rounds, one of which was a mechanical dnf for Sean, he missed out on a signature in his log book towards his A Grade license even though he went from 8 to 4, and from 8 to 2 in the 2 races he did finish. It won't help Seano but we are in the process of getting that rule fixed as I'm yet to find anyone who doesn't think Sean could be in the field given how experienced a dirt kart racer he is and this is only an upgrade to his licence
Anyway, as the results from Renmark are kind of redundant we will just look forward to heading back to Angas Dirt Kart Club at Strathalbyn this coming Sunday. See ya there 😎
Killer pics by Grant Schwartzkopff 👌👌👌
