We did a thing! 😱🙃

Shannen, Dan and I got our big girl and boy yoga pants on and shared some asana, yoga nidra and pranayama with a group of clients at the MS Society SA/NT.

It was our first time teaching and most of the groups first experience of Yoga and it went down a damn treat.

Shannen delivered a beautifully cued class with focus on breath and body awareness. Dan assisted the group and shared with us the benefits of a deeply relaxed Yoga Nidra and I assisted our client who was moving through the asana from her wheelchair.

Everything is temporary.

All the “good” and the “bad”

There’s no growth without discomfort.

There’s no discomfort when there’s no growth.

But what’s a life without challenges?

Think back to a time you were overwhelmed. How did it feel when you got through it?

The guide to cultivating trust for others and self • By the Queen 👸

Boundaries: Help us let the good stuff in and keep the bad stuff out—“stuff” being people, experiences, information, emotional states, and more.

Reliability: Doing what we say we’re going to do, when we say we’re going to do it. Being aware of our strengths and limitations and acting accordingly.

Accountability: Taking ownership for our behaviour, including making amends when we make mistakes

Vault: Not sharing experiences that aren’t ours to share. Combo of refraining from gossip, not getting sucked into drama and demonstrating empathy for other people.

Integrity: When our actions match our words and when we practice our values rather than just profess them. Choosing courage over comfort.

Non-Judgement: Being able to ask for what we need and talk about how we feel without being judged (and vice versa for other people).

Generosity: Extending the most generous interpretation possible to the intentions, words and actions of others. “Assuming the best”
