With Gather Round upon us, we reflect on a space designed to bring people together.
A flexible hub for players and community, offering modern amenities within a welcoming setting for connection and events.
In Lyndoch, this project marks a new era for sport —DASH Architects ,as part of a wider team, delivered a major regional precinct in just 10 months, bringing football, cricket, netball and tennis together in one place.
Built for community and ready for national competition, the architecture is defined by sculpted roof forms that capture light, sky, and a strong sense of identity.

A fascinating project for DASH. It’s not often you get to rebuild a 140 year old building to contemporary construction codes and standards. The care, skill and attention to detail from the team was amazing.

Decembers Reflection:
Lyndoch Recreation Park Redevelopment (Gather Round)

Progress on this project has been nothing short of staggering. 12 months ago there was only a preliminary master plan for the site, and now we’re only a handful of weeks away from Practical Completion ready to host the 2025 AFL Gather Round. New facilities provide a community sporting hub including AFL standard oval, community recreation green / oval, netball courts, little athletics facilities, refurbished tennis courts, multi-sport clubrooms and function centre. Another landmark project in the Barossa for DASH Architects. An amazing effort from all involved.

November's Reflection
Year: 2024
Project: Fort Largs, Taperoo

It was a great pleasure to see Deputy Premier Susan Close officially open the Fort Largs Taperoo project: the first time in the site’s 140 year history that it’s been open to the public. Regular viewers will know this project has been a long time coming. A credit to all involved. We have little doubt Fort Largs will be a landmark heritage project for the State, and a thriving community hub for the Lefevre Peninsula. We highly recommend getting down to the Fort over the break to grab some food and enjoy this highly unique offering.

October's Reflection
A dive into the archives

A dive through our archives bring back so many memories and reminds us of the vast catalogue of work undertaken in the past 60 years. So many notable names on the drawings from past and present staff. So many projects: East End Markets, Government House, Gouger Street Upgrade, Beehive Corner, Pancake Parlours!… the list goes on. The smell of the drawings brings back memories of ammonia printers (the headaches!), light sensitive paper, and scratching out mistakes unit you’ve created a hole in your drawing. Let’s also not forget some artistry in their preparation.

September’s Reflection
Libraries, and lots of them!

For over 30 years DASH Architects has delivered dozens of library projects for local communities and schools. It’s fascinating to see how the role of libraries has changed over the years. 20 years ago some were saying they were no longer relevant, but they remain as important to communities today as they ever had. Project highlights have included libraries for Burnside Council, Unley, Goolwa, West Torrens, Holdfast Bay, Barossa, Burton and (of course) the Mortlock Library. We’ve also assisted with upgrades to libraries in Port Adelaide, Semaphore, Enfield, North Adelaide, Prospect, Clare, Adelaide University, City of Adelaide, Goodwood and multiple regional schools.
