That time of year to do some maintenance and get stuff sorted for this season, weather is feeling 👌 Got some new Troll So Hard Lures skirts rigged up, added non skid on the mudguards and dive door along with some cup holders on the bait board. Everyone can stop f complaining about there being nowhere to stash your beers down the back of the boat now 😂

Do whiting show up on a sounder? I had this debate with someone the other day, they insisted whiting were too small to show and you'll never see them. Have to disagree on that one! Anything over 15m water and I don't bother dropping a line unless I can see the school. We pulled out 20 bag limit out of this one in about 15 mins.

We had a surprising day fishing at Port Hughes last year targeting whiting. While anchored on a spot, Krysta noticed a school of tuna off in the distance. We quickly pulled the anchor and headed over to investigate. As far as I know it's the first time tuna have been caught up here, hopefully bodes well for future seasons!
Chasing tuna a few seasons ago off marion bay. Never seen so much bait pushed up. Would have been at least 50 dolphins working this one patch. Certainly made catching bait easy!

Flashback to a tuna session off Wallaroo last year. We'd found them a few weeks prior south of Cape Elizabeth, be interesting to see if they ever reappear this far up the gulf. Only jelly beans but they were everywhere and hitting everything. Great day 👌
