Tonight we setup the 'Wilkins' layout in full to make sure its all shipshape ready for next weeks' Adelaide Model Railway Exhibition ! We are pleased to say it performed admirably so fingers crossed it will do the same next week...

Another fantastic 'Thomas and Friends' HOn30 (HO scale running on N scale tracks) release from Bachmann Trains USA, Sir Handel, not only a great looking model but a terrific runner too! Here it's gracing the SARMA layout with a touch of Sodor. For those of you who don't do trains with faces (you are missing out!), don't worry because a prototype livery version of the real loco 'Sir Haydn' will be following in the future.
Tonights road test, the wonderful new DP1 Deltic Prototype in OO scale from Hornby- what a cracking runner and hauled 15 coaches at one point around out layout!

Only a few more sleeps till the Swapmeet! We are fortunate in having among our members the talented modeller who has built the fabulous 'West Croydon' HO scale layout. Tonight he displayed a suburban South Australian Railways set featuring a F class steam engine and some 860 class coaches. You too can model this! The F class is available ready to run from our friends at Orient Express and the 860s are available as kits from Junction Models.

Congratulations to our friends at SteamRanger Heritage Railway, South Australia for the introduction of their lovely H class passenger cars! Who'll be the first to have a set in HO on their layout?
