The 2026 Championship District Season has wrapped, marking the conclusion of the Spectator Warning Card Pilot.
Across 6,609 games, the pilot provided a new approach to supporting positive, safe and respectful game-day environments. Now, weβre asking our basketball community to share their experience.

Basketball SA is pleased to announce the coaching and team staff who will lead South Australiaβs Ivor Burge Menβs and Womenβs teams at the 2027 National Championships in Ballarat.
The Men will return after an outstanding silver medal campaign in 2026 π₯, while the Women will be looking to go one step further after finishing fourth this year.
The 2027 Championships will be held in Ballarat from 26β31 January.

Basketball SA is pleased to announce the coaching and team staff who will lead our South Australian U20 Womenβs and Menβs teams at the 2027 National Championships in Ballarat.
The U20 Women will return as reigning national champions after claiming gold in 2026 π₯, while the U20 Men will be chasing a medal after narrowly missing out with a fourth-place finish this year.
Registrations for U20 player trials are still open, with aspiring athletes encouraged to put their hand up for the opportunity to represent South Australia on the national stage. Registrations close 10 September.

π₯ U18 ASIA CUP CHAMPION! π¦πΊ
A huge congratulations to South Australiaβs Isaac Riddle and the Australian Emus, who have been crowned FIBA U18 Asia Cup Champions after completing a perfect unbeaten campaign! π
The Emus secured gold with an 89β79 win over China in the Final, with Isaac making his presence felt on the glass β pulling down a team-high 10 rebounds, including seven offensive boards, in 18 minutes of action.
A proud moment for the South Australian basketball pathway product, representing our state on the international stage and coming home with GOLD! β€οΈππ
