Today marks 100 years since the birth of Diana Ramsay AO, Founder of the James and Diana Ramsay Foundation and one of South Australia’s most visionary philanthropists.
As we reflect on Diana’s legacy, we celebrate the profound impact the Foundation has had on Restless Dance Theatre.
The Foundation believed in Restless and invested in our future through visionary capacity-building support — helping us grow sustainably, create career pathways for neurodiverse and disabled artists, and bring ambitious artistic work to life.
They believed deeply in Michelle Ryan’s words: “Expect excellence … and don’t be surprised by it.”
One hundred years on, Diana’s impact continues to shine through the organisations, artists and communities she believed in.
Thank you, Diana and the James and Diana Ramsay Foundation. It is a privilege to be part of your enduring vision.

A place to pause.
To stand in the doorway.
To reflect, breathe, and gather before moving forward again.
Presented at Space Theatre in partnership with the iNSPACE program, this work invited audiences into a deeply contemplative and shared human experience.
