125 xseries rd 2-3 27-28th September:

Last weekend O’Shea Motorsport headed to Lucindale and tatiara kart club for round 2 and 3 of the 125 x series. Both being 2 tracks Lachlan has never raced at in the 125 with tatiara being our first appearance ever to the venue.

Lucindale: with a 3:00 am wake up and a 4 hour drive out to the track we knew we were in for a tough weekend of competition. Race results are as followed:

Heat 1: 2nd - 2nd ( got reinstated 2nd from 4th after being pushed off line)
Heat 2: 15th- 11th
Heat 3: 9th- 7th (got driven over did the whole race with no front Nassau panel)
Heat 4: 7th- 9th
Final: 10th-10th

Overall kart felt good and fast rolling out the trailer for lucindale just some very average driving over the weekend seemed to be apparent and lost me a fair heap of confidence.

Tatiara: with my first ever time at the track nerves were through the roof and the track was so much faster then I was anticipating race results are as followed:

Heat 1: 10th-13th
Heat 2: 3rd - DNF (got driven over smashing my shoulder and kart wouldn’t restart after the red)
Heat 3: 7th- DNF (biggest crash of my life)
OUT FOR THE DAY:

Overall I loved the venue and track of tatiara just wish the on track environment was as welcoming. Unsure if we will be back out racing the rest of this season but we will regroup repair the damage and be back better then ever.

Once again a huge thanks to all my sponsors you guys are legends can’t to it without you guys Woodside Newsagency Martlew Motors & pipe locating &e mowing an more and a special thanks to ian nitske

Angas club champs: after 3 months out the seat we were keen to get back to the track and had a crack at the Angas Club Championship for 2025. Itcertainly took some time to learn the kart again race results are as followed:
Heat 1: 15th-9th
Heat 2: 9th-13th
Heat 3: 1st-3rd
Final 11th -7th

Overall this weekend started as a struggle on speed but only got faster throughout. To only be a tenth or 2 off the current state championship is a massive confidence booster going into round 2 and 3 of the 125 XSeries in the next 2 weeks, where we heading to the Tatiara Kart Club for the first time huge thanks to all who help us and I can’t thank my sponsors enough for allowing me to do what I love Woodside Newsagency Martlew Motors cable and pipe locating and as always a special thanks to Ian nitshke

Last weekend O’Shea Motorsport Headed to the Angas kart club on the weekend for the jr light/ heavy trophy day and safe to say it just wasn’t our day. From the muddiest track I have ever driven to to one of the driest it was a very challenging weekend with equally as challenging weather conditions. kart felt comfortable a little on the loose side but just struggled all day to extract anything out the motor race results are as follows

Heat 1: 2-3
Heat 2: DNS (carby problems)
Heat 3: 2-5
Final: 4-7

We will take a look through the engine and see what we can find but as of now until the next one once I again I cannot thank all my legendary sponsors enough cannot do it with out you guys Woodside Newsagency Martlew Motors Sa Cable & Pipe Locating B & E Mowing & More

Last weekend O’Shea Motorsport headed up to Morgan first the first round of the 125 X series and being my first time in the field at a track I never have never raced on before in a big series like this was definitely nerve racking to say the very least. From leaving home at 7:00 am and arriving back home at 12:30am freezing conditions an unknown engine package and a complete setup gamble we knew we were gonna be in for a challenge. With a quite unlucky weekend we are currently sitting 14th in the 125 medium standings but feeling very confident with the pace behind the kart we learnt a lot and looking forward to round 2 in August at another track I have never raced at before in Bordertown. But for Now onto strath this weekend for a home club race meeting. I seriously cannot thank thank everyone behind me enough for all your support I honestly can’t do it with out you guys you guys are honestly legends and I’m so stoked to get my first top 3 finish in a heat race this year. Race results are as follows

Heat 1: 4-6
Heat 2: 8- DNF (through a chain)
Heat 3: 3-2
Heat 4: 10-6
Final: 17-DNS (mechanical failure)

What a weekend from a 20 hour day on Saturday 4 hours sleep and a 7 hour day on Sunday with a total of 7 heat races and 2 finals saying this was a big weekend is a massive understatement. Although I am very relieved to now be signed off and in the field to have even more fun.
Race Results

Kadina:
