Sunday's Birthday Party marking a year of Pickleball at Glenunga Tennis Club was a wonderful celebration. Thank you to everyone in this lovely group for their contributions to a truly magnificent lunch. Special thanks to Karen for the beautiful birthday cake and the delicious little pickleball butterfly cakes. Jack Batty MP - Member for Bragg cut the cake to enthusiastic applause. Everyone thanked Club President HongYu for her work in initiating and developing the group.

A group of 26 of our senior tennis and pickleball members and guests enjoyed a day out in the beautiful McLaren Vale in perfect conditions. We boarded the bus at the club and headed south to the Stump Hill Cafe at the Information Centre for coffee. The next stop was Coriole Winery where we were treated to a private tasting of five of their wines. A number of the group left carrying bags of discounted wines. Our lunch was at Beach Road Wineries where we gathered around a long table on the verandah overlooking the garden. We were served generous portions of arancini balls, meat balls and a huge variety of pizza straight out of their pizza oven. There were plenty of laughs and chat around the table - a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and make some new ones.
Thanks to Karen and Paul who provided the music, we sang our way back on the bus to Neil Diamond, the Beatles, ABBA and more!
A huge vote of thanks to Robyn and the Social Sub-Committee for organising this most enjoyable wine tour!

Glenunga Tennis Club invited Glenunga Croquet Club to a barbecue lunch at our clubhouse. It was a convivial, lively event where our presidents forged links over the kitchen sink, while our members exchanged ideas for future events. Thanks as always to our wonderful social committee and to Alan, who barbecued Robyn's perfect shasliks beautifully.

Congratulations to all our Junior Tennis Award winners! Thank you to Bragg MP Jack Batty for presenting the prizes at our Awards Night, and thank you again to Coach Nick Hall for his brilliant coaching. Thirty-three summer teams - amazing! About a hundred people attended on Sunday. They loved Zvago's Pizza Truck and Helen's fruit platters.

Sunday's Open Day for Pickleball and Tennis players was well attended and we have plenty of starters for our Sunday morning Pickleball sessions, 10am to 12 noon. Special thanks to our superb pickleball coach, Jaye Zeng, for teaching everyone how to play and organising drills and games so that everyone had a turn. Thank you to Robyn, who coordinated the event, Club President HongYu, barbecuers, George, Richard and Alan, and members of the social committee.
