Awesome day at the Dragway at The Bend for Andra Grand Final. Weather was mint and car was on point. Ran a best off 8.86 with a 0.010 reaction. Made it to second elimination against Nuz who beat us by 0.0003 🤦. Would like to thank Laurie O'Connell (Daddo) for driving the tow car all season and helping out immensely with his lifetime of knowledge. Saturday definitely threw a few challenges at us, with Mother Nature not exactly wanting to play the game, and a hot tune that wasn’t too interested in cooperating either. Even so, we still managed to come away with some good data.
Sunday was a spectacular day and a much better one all round. It was great seeing so many kiddos come over for photos with Sonic and walk away with big smiles.
Made it through E1, and in E2 Sonic still performed strongly. We’re still learning the sweet spot with bumping in and our delay box numbers, but we’ll get there. It’s all new this season, each pass is teaching us something. The pits were packed with amazing cars from all over Australia, it was great meeting new racers and checking out their cars.
Great weekend at our home track — the best people, plenty of laughs and loud cars. Huge thanks, as always, to Dad and Tanya for coming out to crew for us.

What a year it’s been.
Kicking things off with a Penrite Oil Ambassadorship, then winning The Bend Super Sedan Track Championship and Turbosmart coming on board as a new sponsor.
Sonic performed strong all year, Mick and I, as a team, learned a lot and continue to grow every time we hit the track.
Our current PB is 8.856 @ 154 mph, which we’re really happy with. After a few upgrades and some general maintenance, we’re excited and ready for the rest of the season ahead.
Looking forward into 2026, we’re planning to do some travelling — Darwin, Alice Springs, Sydney, Portland, Mildura, and hopefully Swan Hill — plus plenty of laps at our favourite track, The Bend.
