GRAND FINAL WEEK IS HERE!!! ❤️🖤
This weekend marks the final round of our summer season, with two of our junior teams stepping into Grand Final action — our U14s and U16s will take the field at our home ground, ready to give it everything they’ve got. We’re incredibly proud of what both teams have achieved this season and can’t wait to cheer them on.
Our T-Ball and U12s will also be out there for their final regular games, wrapping up what has been another wonderful summer season for our youngest Redbacks.
As hosts for the day, we’ll also need all hands on deck across the club to help everything run smoothly. If you’re available to assist in any way, please let the committee know your availability — every helping hand makes a difference and helps create a great day for all teams involved 🙌
As the season comes to a close, we want to sincerely thank all of our players, families, coaches, volunteers, committee members, scorers and supporters who have contributed throughout the season. Every training night, game day, helping hand and show of support is part of what makes our Redbacks community so special ❤️
A huge thank you to our committee for the time, effort and care that goes into keeping the club running behind the scenes week after week 👏
To all teams taking the field this weekend — enjoy the moment, play hard and finish the season strong.
And don’t forget, our Presentation Night is coming up on 17 April 🎉
Be sure to RSVP and secure your tickets!!

The Redbacks are incredibly proud to celebrate a huge achievement for Allira D’Auria, who has been selected in the Australian U14 Women’s Softball Squad 🇦🇺🥎
Earning selection in an Australian squad is an outstanding accomplishment and reflects the commitment, determination and passion Allira brings to the game. Following a strong Nationals campaign representing Victoria, she now takes the next exciting step onto the national stage.
It’s a very proud moment for Allira, her family, and everyone at West Coburg Redbacks Softball Club and Keilor Park Softball Association, who have supported her journey along the way.
Congratulations Allira — we can’t wait to see you represent in the green and gold! 👏❤️🖤🥎

The Redbacks are proudly represented on the national stage this week 🥎❤️
A huge congratulations and best of luck to Orlando Perre, Asher Jayasooriya, Owen Joynson and Jacob Zelones as they take to the field for the 2025/26 U14 Boys National Championships, 3–8 March 2026 at the Hawker International Softball Centre.
We’re especially proud to share that Orlando has been named to the team’s Leadership Group — a wonderful reflection of his commitment and character both on and off the diamond 👏
And a big shout out to Diana, who will be supporting the team as scorer throughout the championship.
Every role matters, and we love seeing our Redbacks family contributing in so many ways.
Boys, wear the Victorian colours with pride and enjoy every moment of the experience. Your Redbacks community is right behind you ❤️🖤

As we continue to reflect on the 2025/26 National Championships, we’re incredibly proud to recognise our very own Nate Brunning and Reuben Williams who represented Victoria in the U16 Boys National Championships, Arthur Allsopp Shield in Mirrabooka, Perth WA 🥎❤️
Nate and Reuben stepped into a challenging campaign with courage, positivity and true team spirit. With tough opposition and injuries in the lead-up, this group showed what it really means to turn up for each other.
Nate brought calm under pressure — whether behind the plate as catcher, stepping into first and third base positions when needed, or stepping into the batting box with a team-first mindset - Nate did exactly what great teammates do - doing the job that was asked and helping move runners when it mattered.
Reuben’s journey speaks volumes about character. After breaking his wrist just eight weeks before the tournament, he stayed fully committed. Supporting coaches, assisting with livestream scoring and lifting his teammates from the sidelines, Reuben is the epitome of a true team player — there for his team, no matter the role.
Nationals aren’t just about innings played or positions held. They’re about resilience, adaptability, friendships formed and pride in representing your state. Nate and Reuben, you should be incredibly proud of the way you represented Victoria, your club, and everything the Redbacks stand for 🕷️🥎
Well done boys 👏

🔥 U18 MEN’S. NOX BAILEY SHIELD. REDBACKS REPRESENTED. 🔥
As we continue reflecting on January’s national championships, we’re proud to shout out our U18 Men’s Victorian Representatives who took on the Nox Bailey Shield at Blacktown International Sports Park — and put on an absolute show.
Our very own, Zaine Parkinson, Cruz Wayenburg and Wyatt Shanahan represented with confidence, grit and serious presence. Big hits. Big moments. Big energy. The kind of softball that makes you stop and watch.
Finishing fourth overall is no small achievement — especially when you take down powerhouse teams like NSW and WA along the way, both of whom went on to contest the finals. This group fought hard, played fearless softball, and showed exactly what belief and preparation can do.
So close this time — but make no mistake, this is a group on the rise. Keep working, keep backing yourselves, and don’t be surprised if we’re watching these boys run out in a final before long.
Proud to call you Redbacks 🕷️🥎 Well done boys! 👏

So proud to celebrate one of our own 🕷️❤️
As we look back on the National Championships held in January, we’re thrilled to recognise Allira D’Auria, who represented Victoria in the U14 Girls at the 2025/26 National Championships in Waverley.
Taking the field in both pitcher and short-stop positions, Allira stepped into the challenge with confidence, commitment and a clear love for the game. Experiences like these are about growth, learning and backing yourself — and every opportunity at this level helps shape the player you’re becoming.
Clocking an 87km pitch along the way is an exciting reflection of the work Allira continues to put in on and off the field, and a great reminder of what dedication over time can lead to.
We love celebrating our juniors and club members who chase opportunities, represent with pride, and inspire the next generation of Redbacks to keep dreaming big and enjoying their own journey in the sport 🥎✨
Well done Allira 👏
