All other age groups are good to go but we have a room for a couple more in U8s and U10s to completely fill the teams.

Our Presidential Power Couple were recognised for their hard work and dedication to junior cricket by BNJCA.
I may be biased, but I can't think of anyone more deserving than Steve and Kathy. Congratulations!!

In Kathy's words: 'Steve and I were surprised and humbled when BNJCA announced that Oval 4 at Kalinga Park would be named in recognition of our work with the association. It is an unexpected honour that we deeply cherish. Here we are with BNJCA President John Powell, viewing the new sign. BNJCA does remarkable work supporting junior cricket at every level, and it has been a privilege to contribute to its journey.'

Congratulations to Vivan Bhatt, Harry Jones and Harry Cooper who were members of the successful Metropolitan North Schools team which won the Primary School Championships at Ipswich last week.
Harry Jones was selected to represent Queensland in the National Carnival to be held in Newcastle in the last week of October.
Congratulations also to Aaliyah Kreinberg who was selected in the Queensland Girls team, also going to Newcastle in October. Aaliyah was our Girls Cricketer-of-the-Year last season and has a bright future!
We wish them well at the carnival.

Winter 2026 Season Awards

Yesterday’s End of Season Presentation was a chance to celebrate another fantastic season and recognise the achievements of our teams and players.

Congratulations to our Team Trophy winners and all our individual achievement award recipients, with an impressive 8 centuries, 2 six-wicket hauls and 6 five-wicket hauls recorded this season!

Our Special Trophy winners were:
Cricketer of the Year – Nathan Brown (B3) – 81.8 points
Best Batsman – Laurence Wright (B3) – 301 runs @ 50.17
Best Bowler – Draven Thurlow (B4 Sun) – 10 wickets @ 8.90

While we celebrate these individual achievements, behind every great performance are teammates who supported, encouraged and contributed along the way.

A huge thank you to all our players, coaches, managers, scorers and families for the time, effort and support you gave throughout the season.

Thank you also to the club's worker bees behind the scenes who kept the season on course and made sure all of us could enjoy our season. Thanks Kathy, Steve and Lincoln.

Congratulations to all our award recipients and everyone who played their part in making Winter 2026 such an enjoyable season!

Congratulations to Lincoln and Lachlan on their selection in the Australian team for the Indoor Cricket Junior World Cup in Pretoria, South Africa. What an incredible achievement for two young locals! 🏏🇦🇺

I was delighted to meet with Lincoln this week and personally congratulate him. Opportunities like this are the result of years of hard work, determination and support from family, supporters and coaches.

Both Lincoln and Lachlan play at Strathpine Sports with the Burras and well done to the centre who work hard supporting our up-and-coming sporting superstars.

Fundraising efforts are well underway to help with the significant costs associated with international competition, if you would like to support their fundraising efforts please let me know and I can put you in touch. They have some fantastic raffle prizes to win including donations from Hip Hops Brewers, Wantima Country Club and much more!

Good luck Lincoln and Lachlan, we will all be cheering you on! 💚💛🇦🇺
