Letter of Resignation
Date: 28 July 2026
To: The Board of Directors and Members of the Women's Billiards and Snooker Network
Subject: Resignation from the Position of President
Dear Board Members and Network Community,
Please accept this letter as formal notification that I will be stepping down from my position as President of the Women's Billiards and Snooker Network, effective immediately following the conclusion of the WBSN Snooker Tournament in August 2026.
It is with profound regret and anger that I must share the reasons compelling my departure. I have recently fallen victim to a highly sophisticated and elaborate financial scam orchestrated by individuals operating Capital Guard AU Pty Ltd. This fraudulent scheme has resulted in the devastating loss of a significant sum of my personal life savings.
Public company records and my own documentation tie several individuals to the management and operation of this scheme. I am choosing to name them here to warn our community and hold them publicly accountable. The individuals operating Capital Guard include Vassos Dimitriou (an Australian citizen residing in Dubai and Cyprus), Mark Edley, and Eva Smith. Furthermore, company documents in my possession bear the name of Mark Tasiyan of Melbourne, who, despite his name appearing on these official documents, maintains his innocence.
Due to the severe financial damage inflicted by these individuals and Capital Guard, I am no longer in a position to financially support or sponsor cue sports as I have proudly done in the past. After the August tournament concludes, my immediate focus must entirely shift toward cooperating with the authorities, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), and the court-appointed liquidators at McGrathNicol to seek justice and recover what I can.
I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I have had to serve the Women's Billiards and Snooker Network. I look forward to supporting our players through the upcoming tournament in August before handing over my responsibilities. I wish the network and its members nothing but the absolute best moving forward.
I am grateful to have been associated with Billiards and Snooker and to have upheld the name of Lindrum for as long as I could.
Sincerely,
Tammy Lindrum

June not a kind month for us. On this day in 1974 I lost my beloved Dad Horace Lindrum, past World Champion Snooker player and very special Dad. Not a day passes that I don’t think of him. Miss you Dad xx

What a Legend Steve Mifsud is! He just won the Australian Billiards title for the 7th time. Steve has also won the Australian Snooker title 7 times. That makes him an Australian hero. Congratulations Steve and well played Michael Pearson runner up in both the Walter Lindrum and the Australian Open

Thank you Jim Bonner!
❤️ your support to grow and expand women and Cue Sports!

Support for women’s snooker continues to grow and sometimes the generosity of people in our sport genuinely catches you by surprise.

A huge thank you to Jim Bonner, a respected Western Australian snooker player in his own right, for his incredibly generous $500 donation in support of the Capital Guard WBSN $20,000 Women’s Snooker Tournament.

Jim wanted his contribution to directly support the players and we are pleased to announce that his donation will be used to create 5 x $100 lucky draw prizes for players who miss qualification for the last 16.

With every player reaching the top 16 already guaranteed a minimum payout of $125, Jim’s donation means there will now be extra rewards and excitement for players outside the qualifying positions as well.

Building something meaningful takes a community and support like this reminds us that people right across Australia believe in what WBSN is trying to achieve.

Tournament spots are continuing to fill and a reminder that entries are strictly capped at 32 players. Don’t miss your opportunity to be part of this historic event and what promises to be a very special tournament for women’s snooker in Australia.

Thank you Jim, your support means a great deal.

So proud to be part of the official opening of the Billiard room at the Clayton Spirts Club. The whole club offers the Clayton community many new facilities and will be the home of the WBSN Snooker Academy. A little piece of history the Great Walter Lindrum originally opened the Billiard room in 1955 ❤️Clayton Sports Club
