Graham's Bombtrack Bicycle Co. - 'fresh' from a trip out east. This Beyond is a great example of a versatile bike, but also how much the little tweaks and custom bits change and indeed *make* a bike.

A comfy Ergon Bike seatpost, Restrap bag (wallet & keys... or just electrolytes & candy), big boy Teravail tyres, an upright SQlab stem and supportive saddle, 3 bottle cages 'cause it's hot out there folks.

These are things you notice riding this bike, not the specs on the product page, or the weight on the scale.

Ellie's go-anywhere Bombtrack Bicycle Co. Beyond Plus needed a new rim, and she had some down time, so we took the opportunity to build a whole new dynamo wheel together! Then we hooked her up with a KLite Dynamo systems system for limitless light and USB power on the fly (with a custom 3D printed little mount, 'natch).

It's really satisfying helping someone build something with their own hands, and wheels - especially a dynamo - can really change what a bike can do. A bit of know how and some spare spokes don't hurt if you're ever far from anywhere either.

We buffed up Julians', venerable Hope Technology Ltd Pro 4 before lacing it and a SON Nabendynamo into a set of Velocity USA Blunt 35's.

Pillar Spoke

Kate's keeping her Trucker for the long haul! This classic Surly ditches the basic bar-end shifters for... err.. bar ends! The Goats at Gevenalle fancy these funky levers for cyclocross racing, but we think they're great for any simple steed and savvy steward.

The new Redshift Sports 'Top Shelf' bar brings things within easy reach, and their rubber top grips and really long bar tape keep it cushy for long afternoons / days / weeks in the saddle.

There's lots of good reasons to build wheels bespoke - sometimes we can achieve some balance of design elements that just isn't available 'out of the box'. Other times it's just not possible to buy something that fits at all!

Jono wanted a modern, matching wheelset for his older bike that takes two completely different wheels.

With some old / preloved hubs, new SUNringlé rims, and clever choice of Pillar Spoke we made a set that looks and feels like a pair, yet fits Jono's bike and needs.

Vijaya's new Bombtrack Bicycle Co. Arise Tour is a rare sort of bike that is chock full of 'accessories' out of the box. A real vehicle, with racks, dynamo, guards, and room for much more.

Obviously this bike could cross continents, but it'll make a fantastic all-weather, all-roads, all-things commuter too. Surprisingly stock, the only real changes - so far - are some plump Panaracer semi-slicks to suit Mparntwe's mixed surfaces, and a colour-matched CRANE Bell Co. E-Ne.
