We made it back to Alice!

15TH OUTRIGHT!!!

What a trip this has turned out to be.
More of a result than we ever expected but are so happy to receive. Learning more about the car every time we go out and pushing the limits. We're not the fastest but we go fast.
And a saying created by our Jamalka Off Road Racing mates tonight at presentation: we haven't just done it, we've won it! (*in class)

Hi Everyone...

WE MADE IT TO FINKE!!!!

We got into the groove after starting 44th at 8.15 this morning, a couple of "oh sh*ts" and failed technology to do with communications and mapping but the car performed faultlessly bringing us into Finke 22nd outright. Commiserations to those suffering mechanical failures.

Paul found his mojo and trusted the buggy to point us straight and it happened quite quickly, seeing us into Finke as the first in class 10. Daniel may or may not have had some pucker moments...

We've been over the car, checking everything in preparation for the run home to Alice tomorrow, starting at 7.40am. Hoping for a smooth run which could put us on the class podium.

It's been a busy few days in Alice Springs with the Tatts Finke Desert Race and Bullant motorsport has had a positive result today!

Prologue result was 42nd from 116 finishers, 122 starters. 4th in our class 10.

There is quite the competition here however, our aim is to have fun, and finish!

After the muddy prologue, no doubt we needed a Tough + Ready Spitwater Pressure cleaner & some quality FlowRPM Premium Truck Wash to tidy up the bullant, ready to look the part in the morning heading off to Finke. 223 kms of a demanding track.

Top Fans & number 1 support crew, Kez, Amanda & Rob, there lending a hand with some finishing touches, Brendan From Country Diesel Maintenance kindly sharing his property and equipment with us to get the job done! Thanks a mountain, another great supporter!

Updates to come tomorrow night, reception permitting, ready to turn it around and head back to Alice on Monday.

Hi All, we have been MIA on the page for a while, it has been all hands on deck getting ready for the Tatts Finke Desert Race.

This is our first attempt and just the 3rd race in the buggy.
Alice Springs has received some welcomed rain and we aren't complaining, hoping this will lower the dust levels and make the event really fun and competitive.

We're 1 of 7 Class 10 Buggies about to battle through the long weekend with a street party Thursday night, Scrutineering and vehicle media display Friday night, a quick lap for prologue on Saturday to determine when we start on Sunday. Make it to Finke after 223kms with the go pedal flat to the board, camp the night and head back to Alice on Monday.

Track knowledge is lacking but a wise person once told us, you have to break the eggs to make an omelete. We've done the prep, we can think fast and we're aiming for a genuine "there and back" result.

We're teaming up the camp with Jamalka Off Road Racing on their maiden voyage in their new pro buggy and we wish them all the best. The BRAND NEW V8 angry Honey Badger looks keen to stir up some dirt!

We'll keep you updated over the next couple of days when our Bullant buggy makes it out of the trailer.

Tinga ready for Finke debut after Pooncarie class win Paul Tinga is looking forward to making the biggest step in his off road journey next month when he makes his Tatts Finke Desert Race debut. The South Australian will take on the prestigious event full of confidence after picking up a class...

The 1010 Bullant is attending the first National round of the AORC - Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship at Pooncarie, NSW this weekend.
We've done the long course reconnaissance of 100+kms yesterday and just finished reconnaissance of the short prologue course. We'll be starting prologue soon to determine what order we all start later today for 1 lap of the long course, followed by 3 long course laps tomorrow
There's been plenty of prep work going on behind the scenes and we're looking forward to a "clean" race weekend and bringing the car home in one piece!

Well what a weekend! 🏆
The 1010 Bullant didn't disappoint at our first race meet at Jamalka Off Road Racing in Tumby Bay.
There was pace on the first lap on Sunday until a slight concern with the gear shifter, making a brief stop on the second lap to make sure we wouldn't destroy anything. WD40 to the rescue and we were back on it, pulling in 7th outright and 3rd in class.

Time for a beer!

All packed up, enjoyed the presentation and the last night camping in the paddock.

Section 1 on Saturday saw 23 cars start with a total of 7 DNF for various reasons. We started off in 17th position and learnt more about the car and track through all of the 3 60km laps.
Coming home in 8th with no issues on the car was a relief.

Checkover and lubrication done, another 80L fuel and ready for section 2 on Sunday for the final 3 laps.
