⏳ Years with NESCC:
Over 40 years! ❤️

🚘 First Competition Car:
Believe it or not, the black Cortina was the first car to run a Motorkhana… but after that came A LOT of Geminis! 😄

🏎️ Favourite Competition Car:
The Gemini — surprise! 😉

🛞 Tar or Dirt?
Loved the dirt and still do, but these days hillclimbs, street sprints and circuit racing are my true love! 🏁💨

🏆 Favourite Events:
Leyburn — next year will mark 10 years competing there, along with Morgan Park and Gunnedah Hillclimbs.

🏅 Best Results:
Many great results in the litre class, while also competing successfully in Sports Sedans across multiple decades! 👏

🔧 Biggest Achievement with the Club:
The biggest achievement has been all the volunteer work over the years — helping set up and run rallies, Motorkhanas and Khanacross events.

🙌 More than 40 years of competing, volunteering and supporting the club is an incredible contribution!

As we celebrate 60 years of NESCC, it's members like this who have helped make the club what it is today. 🏁❤️

• Motorkhana Champion, Competition Champion & Club Champion (1993)
• Motorkhana Champion (1994)
• And perhaps one of the most satisfying achievements… beating the current Club President in three of his own vehicles! 😄

👔 Club Involvement:
• Vice President (1993 & 1994)

🔧 Other Motorsport Highlights:
• Rally service crew for Garry Yeomans, Glen Brinkman, Mal Keogh, Steve Mitchell, David & Richard Opie and most recently, Josh Redhead

Sundays Khanacross Round 5 Results.

🔥 A few standouts
James was seriously quick. A 599.62 total put him 7.02 seconds clear of Doc and nearly 20 seconds ahead of Matt.
The Laser was particularly strong across the day.

Matt in the WRX had a moment on Run 8 with a wrong direction getting a 67.35, — after being consistent most of the day beforehand. Despite that, he still brought it home 3rd outright.

🏆 Class results
2WD: James Clark— 1st
4WD: Doc O'Connell — 1st
Junior: Jake Coventry — 1st
Ladies: Beth Plattford— 1st

And there were some very close battles, James and Doc were separated by only 7 seconds, while Matt and Andrew were just 6.76 seconds apart.
Looks like the Mighty Laser is definitely the weapon to beat at the moment! 😎

🧯 A fire extinguisher is required and must be less than 3 years old.
