Sydney North Schools Sports Association

The primary boys Australian football team has won the bronze medal at the NSWPSSA Championship in Tamworth this week. Their final match was a win against MacKillop.

Congratulations to Oliver Lavers, Avoca Beach PS who was selected in the NSWPSSA team.

Congratulations to our students Xavier, Ruben, Eason, Benji and Beau who competed in the NSW CHS State Swimming Championships on 29th April.

Xavier, Eason, Benji and Beau will now compete in the NSW All Schools Championships on May 21st 2026.

A huge congratulations to Tyra and Brooke who competed at the 3-day NSWCHSSA U18s Rugby League Trials at St Mary’s Stadium this week.

Brooke M (Year 11) was selected in the NSW CHS U18s Presidents Team, and Tyra F (Year 12) was selected in the NSW CHS U18s Sydney North Team.

Both students represented the school with outstanding sportsmanship, dedication and pride throughout the carnival, performing at an exceptionally high level against strong competition.

We are proud to see them achieving success on such a significant representative stage.

Congratulations to Mahdi our talented student who has been selected to attend the 2026 NSW PSSA Hockey Championships! The championships will be held next week in Bathurst, bringing together some of the best young hockey players from across NSW. This is an incredible achievement and a wonderful opportunity to represent our region at state level. We are so proud of your hard work, dedication and sporting talent, and we wish you the very best for the championships!

Well done to Balin G and Oskar J in Year 8 who have participated in AFL State Carnival over the past 3 days representing Sydney North and finished 6th in the competition. Balin was award with the MVP award for Sydney North. Congratulations boys!

The secondary girls 18 years rugby league team have been at the NSWCHSSA Trials at St Marys this week.
