🌟 Instructor Feature – Meet Instructor Mia 🌟

At First TaeKwonDo, we are blessed with many dedicated instructors who give their time and energy to guide the next generation of martial artists. Today, we’re proud to highlight Instructor Mia.

By day, Mia is a UWA-educated Engineer working in Western Australia’s resources sector. By night, she shares her passion for TaeKwonDo, teaching at our Ballajura branch and assisting at many other training centres across Perth.

Mia began her TaeKwonDo journey in April 2005 at our Ballajura Dojang, earned her 1st Dan Black Belt in 2014, and achieved her 2nd Dan Black Belt in 2022. With nearly two decades of training behind her, she continues to inspire students through her technical knowledge, patience, and encouragement on the floor.

Her commitment is a shining example of how Taekwondo builds not only strong martial artists but also resilient, disciplined, and motivated individuals who thrive in all areas of life.

We’re proud to have Instructor Mia as part of our First TaeKwonDo family, and we look forward to seeing the impact she will continue to make on our students for years to come. 🥋💪

TaeKwonDo is more than a martial art — it is a lifelong journey of discipline, respect, and perseverance. When fathers and children train together, the benefits reach far beyond fitness and technique. Fathers lead by example, showing their children the value of commitment, resilience, and personal growth. In a world where many young people look to outside influences as role models, the presence of a father to look up to — right beside them on the Dojang floor — is truly invaluable. Acta Non Verba!

Training side by side, fathers and children share in both triumphs and challenges. They sweat together, overcome difficulties together, and learn that progress comes through patience, effort, grit, and determination. A group moment captured last Sunday at Coogee Beach 🌊🥋This wasn’t just any training session — it is a rite of passage. Our Ballajura Black Belts and select Ballajura 1st Kups joined fellow senior students from across 23 WA dojangs for the annual First Tae Kwon Do WA Beach Training.

This invitation-only event is more than a physical challenge — it’s a test of spirit, strength, and readiness. A rare opportunity where instructors assess the rising Black Belt applicants, whether they’re preparing for this year or in the next few years.
