Did you know the Australian Side Saddle Community has brought out a small collection of side saddle inspired apparel?
Unisex “footy” shorts designed for everyday wear and yard work, to lightweight UV protection mesh shirts made for long sunny days around horses.
And YES… we’ve even had MEN purchasing the shorts, because why not?!
They’re practical, comfortable, have ZIP pockets, and help support a very special discipline that historically saw both men and women ride side saddle.
The shirts are loose fitting so they don’t cling in the heat, making them ideal for riding, yard work, events or everyday wear.
You don’t have to ride side saddle to enjoy them either!!
Side saddle apparel has finally found its place somewhere between cowboy themed gear and dressage diva fashion. 🤎
This week is the FINAL week of introductory pricing before standard pricing begins.

🐴💛 Your Horse’s Needs Come First
There’s something deeply humbling about caring for a horse. No matter how long the day has been, how tired your legs feel, or how empty your stomach is, the moment you step into the barn, one truth remains the same: your horse depends on you. 🤎
Horses don’t care if you had a rough day at work, skipped lunch, or feel exhausted. They trust you completely to provide what they need—fresh water, proper feed, a clean space, comfort, and care. That responsibility is both beautiful and powerful. ✨
Being a horse owner or rider is not just about the fun rides, the ribbons, or the perfect photos. It’s about the quiet, unseen moments too. It’s the late-night checks, the sweaty grooming sessions, the muddy boots, and the decision to put your horse’s well-being before your own convenience. 🧹🐎
True horsemanship is built on selflessness. It means noticing when your horse is thirsty before you grab your own drink. It means cooling them down properly after a ride before you sit down to rest. It means understanding that their health, comfort, and happiness must always come first. 💦🍎🩺
That kind of care creates something incredibly special: trust. When your horse knows they are safe with you, cared for by you, and valued by you, the bond becomes stronger than words can explain. 🫶🐴
So on the hard days, remember this: the love we give our horses is shown most in the moments when it would be easier to choose ourselves first—but we don’t. Because loving a horse means showing up, every single time. 🌟
No matter how hungry, thirsty, or tired you are… your horse’s needs come first. 💛

We would like to extend our thanks to Teese Trading Stockfeeds & Beaumoor for supporting and sponsoring the recent Sporting Day at the Beaudesert Pony Club.
Without sponsorship, whether financial, product, a combination of both, many events we all enjoy cannot happen due to the costs involved.
Thank You from SS Equestre and also Australian Side Saddle Community
Simone and Millstream Maverick (Bailey) had a wonderful day and came home with ribbons, 3rd place trophy and Bailey shared his prize with his paddock mates!
* We are not photographers LOL - the photo is blurry, but the trophy does proudly show sponsored by Beaumoor :)

The enthusiasm of our youngest duo is wonderful!
Recently, they got busy riding up and down steep hills and practicing without reins to really focus on balance in a fun way. They’re also learning to guide Chilli over cavaletti, poles, and even narrow tracks using their bodies, and not just rely on the reins.
They also noticed Chilli had been to the “hairdresser” recently and asked, with genuine care, how she was doing. Seeing them take such a natural interest in horse welfare is so lovely to watch & hear 💛

April saw another side saddle enthusiast come along for several lessons. She had one lesson 30+ years ago when she was in her 30's with the late Wendy Tidbold✨ (Simone first mentor) She decided it was time to ride aside again & learning the art of being straight & square "aside" ..we are excited to help her along her journey as she prepares for many more exciting sideways adventures ahead! ☺️🐴
