A huge congratulations to Rhys Gray and Brando Bonelli from our U15s on reaching the incredible milestone of 100 games for the Belconnen United Sharks!

From their very first game in Sharks colours to this special achievement, it has been a privilege to watch their friendship, teamwork and commitment grow over the years. We’re incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved, not only as players but as outstanding young men.

A huge thank you to Ethan and Owen for coming out to visit. The kids absolutely loved having a chat, receiving a ball, and watching it being kicked by their idols.

What stood out most was how genuinely humble and engaging both of them were with every single child. They took the time to make each kid feel special, and that meant so much to everyone involved.

We couldn’t have asked for two better young men to join us for training. Thanks again, boys!

The playing fields at Melba might not look like much, but it is on that same patch of turf that rugby league stars Bradley Clyde and Jamie Soward first started out.

Now a new generation of youngsters from Belconnen United Sharks chase their dreams every week as part of the biggest junior rugby league club in Canberra, boasting 750 kids from under-4s to under-17s.

What an incredible day and an unforgettable experience for our U9 White team!

The boys had the opportunity to play at the 81st Junee Riverina Schoolboys Carnival, where the town truly became the heart of country rugby league.

We were greeted with blue skies and no frost, perfect conditions for a fantastic day of footy! This year, we were proud to be one of five Canberra clubs represented, alongside the Bulls, Warriors, Buffaloes and Knights.

With an incredible 146 teams competing across 18 fields, the carnival showcased the very best of junior rugby league. Our U9 White team played three fantastic games against the Albury Thunder, Young Cherrypickers, and Wagga Magpies.
