The club's main objectives are to teach kids from 5 to 16 years of age the skills, attitude and sportsmanship required to succeed in the game of Rugby League and to successfully participate in a team environment. We aim to nurture an individuals development in an environment where all players receive an equal chance. At the Belconnen United Sharks the coaching staff place a high emphasis on correct techniques and sportsmanship, our clubs values are Respect, Participation, Commitment and Inclusion, if this sounds like you come and join the sharks!

From our littlest Baby Sharks through to our U17s, what a season it’s been!

With 42 teams proudly wearing the Sharkies colours, this season has been about so much more than results, it’s been about friendships, teamwork and a shared love of the game.

A huge thank you to every player, coach, manager, volunteer, parent and supporter who helped make the season possible. We’re incredibly proud of our Sharks family and can’t wait to see you all back again next season.

THANK YOU TO OUR 2026 COMMITTEE 🦈

As the 2026 season comes to an end following our presentation this weekend, we want to recognise and thank our amazing committee for everything they have done behind the scenes throughout the year.

So much work goes into making a season run smoothly, and much of it happens away from the field, thanks to people giving their time, energy and effort, often long before game day and well after the final whistle.

From registrations and draws, to events, communications, uniforms, canteen, sponsorship, ground setup, carnivals, player stats and everything in between, there is always plenty happening behind the scenes.

To every committee member who has answered messages, solved problems, organised, planned, helped out, stepped in when needed and kept things moving throughout the season, THANK YOU.

Your commitment helps keep the Sharkies moving forward and ensures our players and families have the best possible club experience.

Sharkies families,

As some of you may already know, our beautiful Jacob’s world and that of his family, changed suddenly on Thursday, 30 July.

While playing with his mates at school, Jacob experienced his first seizure. After being taken to the Emergency Department at Canberra Hospital and undergoing a CT scan, Leigh and Andreza received the heartbreaking news that Jacob had a sizeable brain tumour.

They are Sharks. They are teammates. They are coaches. They are friends. They are an important part of what makes our Sharkies family so special.

There are some families who are more than just part of a club. This family is our family.

Now, as Jacob and his family face an incredibly difficult road ahead, it’s our turn to stand beside them and show them just how much their Sharkies family is behind them.

Let’s wrap this beautiful family in all the love, strength and support our community can give.

Congratulations to every team that made it through to the Grand Finals over the weekend. What an incredible achievement and a fantastic way to finish the season.

A huge amount of work goes into getting our teams to this point, and it simply wouldn’t happen without the players, coaches, managers, league safe trainers, first aiders, volunteers, parents and supporters who give so much of their time throughout the year.

It really does take a small army to keep a season running, and the results below are a great reflection of the effort, commitment and support that has gone in across the entire club.
