π REMINDER TO ALL PLAYERS, OFFICIALS & SPECTATORS π
Over the opening two rounds of the BJFL season, it has been observed that some people are not complying with smoking and va**ng laws at our matches.
Under the Victorian To***co Act, smoking and va**ng is banned at outdoor sporting venues during organised Under 18 sporting events. This includes:
β’ Matches
β’ Training sessions
β’ Scheduled breaks during games or training
This law applies whenever the majority of participants are under 18 years of age.
As the BJFL is a junior competition, smoking and va**ng is prohibited inside ALL BJFL venues at all times during football activities.
We all have a responsibility to help create a safe, healthy and family-friendly environment for our players, volunteers, officials and spectators.
Please be respectful of the law, our clubs, and the children participating in our game.
Thank you for your cooperation and support throughout the 2026 season.

Round 1 last weekend was a fantastic way to kick off the season β magnificent weather, great spirit across all matches, and overall excellent behaviour from players, officials and spectators π
As we roll into the next round, hereβs a friendly reminder about who is permitted in the coaches box/interchange area during matches:
πΉ Accredited Head Coach
πΉ Accredited Assistant Coach
πΉ Team Manager
πΉ Runner
πΉ Medic/Trainer
πΉ Participating Players
These roles are in place to ensure matches run smoothly, safely, and fairly for everyone involved. We ask all clubs and supporters to respect these guidelines and help maintain the positive environment we saw in Round 1.
Letβs keep the standard high for the rest of the season!
