Thank you everyone for a great day out on Sunday!!! Massive thanks to all the volunteers and helpers, was a great event with few hassles thanks to everyone getting stuck in! Great to see so many happy faces both kids and adults. The next round of the First Descent series will be September 20. The team are pumped to do it all again!! Get it in your calendar and look out for rego opening a few weeks beforehand.

🙋 Every family can help!

First Descent only happens because our community gets involved. We rely on parents, family members and supporters to help with roles like course marshalling throughout the day.

If we don't have enough marshals, we'll need to reduce practice time so we can get everyone safely into position before racing begins.

If you or someone coming with you can spare some time, we'd really appreciate you registering through the Volunteer Portal before race day. It makes a huge difference and helps us plan the event.

🚫 No dogs are permitted at Eagle MTB Park.
Please leave your furry friends at home.

🏷️ Bring your race plate
If you've already been issued a race plate this season, please remember to bring it with you.

🚲 Check your bike
Give your bike a quick safety check before the weekend to make sure it's in good working order.

⛑️ Helmet checks
Please bring your helmet to the registration desk for inspection before racing.

👨‍👩‍👧 Riders under 18
A parent or guardian must be present for the entire day and must accompany you to the registration desk. We can't complete registration without them.

**Track Preview – Round 3 | Eagle MTB Park**

Wondering what you'll be racing in a couple of weeks?

Our Round 3 track and Track Preview is now live thanks to our vollies!

For this round the course follows a blue-level version of Mixer, with plenty of line choice and rollable features, making it suitable for riders of all confidence levels while still being a fun challenge.

A big thank you to the trail crew, who have been putting in the work to prepare the track ready for race day. As always, there'll be a final tidy-up before the event to have it running as smoothly as Eagle can... although it IS Eagle, so expect a few rocks! 😉

Winter's had its turn.
Now it's ours.

The First Descent Series returns to Eagle MTB Park as we kick off the second half of the season.

Eagle is the perfect place to get back between the tape, with one of the driest tracks this time of year and our race village set up in the bowl—bringing all the great race-day vibes, good mates, and plenty of cheering.

Whether you're chasing your best time or thinking about giving downhill racing a go for the very first time, First Descent is the perfect place to be. We welcome riders of all levels, with a track walk, practice runs, and experienced mentors on hand to help you feel comfortable and confident.

If you've been waiting for the right race to start... this is it.
