FULL TIME | Bluff Rabbitohs 26 - Emerald Tigers 50
Unfortunately, Friday night wasn’t the ending we had hoped for. The ball just didn’t bounce our way, and after a tough battle, the Tigers ended our run in the finals.
It was a tough night, but what we’re most proud of is the way our boys kept showing up for each other. Even when things weren’t going our way, they dug deep and kept pushing forwards.
To every player who pulled on that Rabbitohs jersey on Friday night — you should be proud. Proud of the effort, proud of the fight and proud that you kept pushing right until the final whistle.
It wasn’t the result we wanted, but there was plenty of heart, effort and pride. And that’s something these boys should be proud of. ❤️💚🖤
👏 Special Mentions
🏉 Tom Dwan — another huge effort from Tom. He’s been nothing short of an absolute weapon for us this season. We’re bloody lucky to have you in a Rabbitohs jersey, Tom.
🏉 Baxta Lancaster — what a way to finish the season. Baxta left absolutely everything on the field, topping the team for tackles and hit-ups and putting in a massive shift in defence. A true leader who never stopped fighting for the boys.
🏉 Riley Shadlow — the kind of player every team needs. Reliable, tough and always willing to do the work. Another strong performance from Riley and another season of being a hugely valuable part of our team.
🏉 Bailey Olive — a solid performance from Bailey, who put in the hard yards and played his part when the boys needed it most.
🏉 Ethan McLaughlin — two cracking tries from Etho that gave the boys a lift when they needed it. He kept the momentum going and showed plenty of fight right until the end.
🏉 Mitchell Power, Darcy Dredge & Preston Byrne - three boys who quietly got through the work that needed to be done. Each played an important role on the night and, like the rest of the team, never stopped giving it a crack.
