What a way to spend a Saturday afternoon. 🥂🌸🐴

Thank you to every lady who joined us for our second Polox & Prosecco Ladies Day.

From catching up with friends over a glass of bubbles, to watching polocrosse from the best seat in the house, we hope you enjoyed your afternoon as much as we enjoyed hosting it.

This first photo says it all.

Three Bowen Polocrosse women, from different generations of our club, standing together beside one of the horses that makes our sport possible. It’s a reminder that while players come and go, the friendships, community and love of polocrosse continue.

Ladies Day was created to open our gates and share that with the wider community. Whether you came for the flowers, the food, the fashion, the polocrosse or simply to enjoy an afternoon out with friends, we hope you also left with a little appreciation for the sport that brings us all together.

To everyone who bought a ticket, supported our local vendors, sponsors and volunteers, and helped make only our second Ladies Day such a success, thank you.

We already have ideas for next year… and we can’t wait to welcome you back. 💙💛🥂

Ladies Day doesn’t have to end at 5:30! 🍕🎶

After Polox & Prosecco Ladies Day, stay on at the Bowen Polocrosse Grounds for dinner, drinks and live music.

Tropical Pizza will be serving out front from 4pm, the clubhouse will be open, the bar will be running, and live music kicks off from 7pm.

It’s the perfect way to keep the day going, catch up with friends, feed the family, and enjoy a great night out at the grounds.

Free entry for the evening. Everyone welcome.

Ladies Day Housekeeping 🌸

With Ladies Day just around the corner, we have a few important housekeeping notes to make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable afternoon.

Please enter the Ladies Day area through the entry point only. This helps us keep everyone moving safely and makes sure our volunteers can check tickets, welcome guests and direct you where you need to go.

❌ Under no circumstances are guests to walk across the polocrosse field.❌
This is a live sporting field with horses and players moving at speed. If you are seen walking or running across the field, you will be asked to leave and may be banned from future events.

Please use common sense around the grounds:
📍Do not walk behind horses.
📍Do not enter player or horse areas unless invited by a club official.
📍Do not throw anything onto the field.
📍Stay within the designated spectator and event areas.
📍Listen to any directions given by club officials, volunteers or grounds staff.

We want everyone to have a fantastic afternoon, but safety comes first for our players, horses, volunteers and guests.

Ladies, this is your friendly warning… don’t show up late if you’re here for the food 👀

Our Polox & Prosecco menu will be served in waves, with platters making their way around the tent throughout the afternoon.

So if you drag your feet, you might just miss out.

Honey chicken skewers, corn & capsicum fritters, tomato bruschetta, calamari salad boats and mango panna cotta, all catered by the legends at Meraki Whitsundays

Pair it with one of our tropical slushies and honestly… chef’s kiss 💋🍹

Queen of Clothing coming in hot for Ladies Day 👑

Not only has Lainie from Queen of Clothing popped a gorgeous little gift into all 150 goodie bags, she has also donated a Best Dressed prize for the day.

So yes ladies, this is your sign to pull out the frocks, the boots, the big earrings and come dressed to win. 🌸✨

The support from local businesses has honestly been unreal, and it’s the reason we’ve been able to grow this event a little more from last year.

A huge thank you to Queen of Clothing Boutique for backing our Ladies Day and helping us make it that extra bit special. Make sure you show them some love! 💕

FLOWER BAR POP UP 🌸

We are so excited to have a beautiful Flower Bar Pop Up at Polocrosse & Prosecco Ladies Day.

The Flower Farm will be bringing fresh, locally grown, chemical-free flowers straight from the farm, grown right here in Bowen.

Grown, not flown. Just fresh seasonal blooms, full of colour and ready for you to take home.

You’ll be able to:

🌸 Fill a vase
Select a vase and fill it with your favourite seasonal blooms.

🌸 Vase swap
Bring a vase from home and refill it with fresh flowers.

🌸 Take a little farm home
Flower seeds, seedlings and seasonal flower goodies will be available to purchase.

🌸 Doily chandeliers
Available to purchase on the day.

Every purchase helps support a small family flower farm, and we love being able to showcase another beautiful local Bowen business as part of our Ladies Day.

Fresh blooms, prosecco, good food, live music and a lovely afternoon at the polocrosse. Sounds pretty perfect to us. 🌸🥂

Hey Bowen! 🍕🎶

Saturday night, 11th of July, we’re putting on a fantastic FREE community evening at the Bowen Polocrosse Grounds.

From 7pm, we’ll have live music to set the vibe, plus Tropical Pizza serving their delicious pizzas out front.

The clubhouse will also be open with burgers, chips and kids’ meals, and yes, the bar will be running too!

Bring the family, bring your friends, grab a slice, and settle in for a great night out.

Free entry. Everyone welcome.
