Rifleman’s Hangout

Will be capping the Match at 50 Shooters before we start a “Waiting list” so make sure you are registered. There are 30 shooters that have a soft yes but can’t commit at this stage so first in best dress. The 2nd qualifier we should be able to accommodate more shooters once we confirm a rough time frame for Match 1.
This is going to be a lot of fun guys.

No Funds are required to Register.

Below is the COF you can expect for the 1st Australian ELR Match. This is a Team event, even if your spotter isn’t shooting they will earn a trophy if you take out the event. A spotter plays a huge part of ELR shooting and should be recognised along with the shooter.

If Shooters have F-Class Rifles etc that don’t fit the rules, you guys can still compete but points wont count towards standings. Rifles can be shared but can’t be shot straight after each other.

Day 1 Prelim: (930m-1300m)
First 4 shots are scoring shots. Hit to move. Eg: A shooter could use all 16 shots on T1. Or Hit T1 on shot 5 for a score of 0 but progress to T2. No sighters/No Cold-bore shots or flags allowed.

Scores are made available.

Day 2 Finale: (1400m-1635m)
Top 20 Shooters regardless of Class.
Same scoring as Day 1 but first 5 shots are scored.
No sighters/Cold-bore shots or flags allowed.

T7 x 5

Competitive ELR shooting has never made in onto any shooting Calendars here in Aust till now. To get this up and going has taken a lot of time, emails and A LOT of personal funding. If we don’t get enough support with our first 2 Matches this could quite easily disappear for good. Even if you just want to watch feel free to come along and show your support.

Series Rules are attached below along with the Registration Form. If you don’t have a Spotter to round out your Team we will allocate you a spotter when drawing out the shooting order.

Amendments made to Ko1M Rule Book:
2.2- Rifle weight will be rounded to 12kg in a ready to fire state. Weigh in on Zero Day. There will be No Heavy Class as we are restricted to 8mm. Instead there will be magnum and non magnum Classes both capped at 12kg.
Rifle sharing is allowed but cannot shoot straight after each other.

3.2- Practice on Set Targets will be allowed on Zero Day due to Shooters having little opportunity to get data prior.

3.6- There will be no protests, this is due to not currently having access to target cams filming Targets. This rule will change in 2027 to allow protests.

4.3- There will be No cold bore shots. Day 1 will comprise of targets between 930m-1300m. Day 2 will be 1300m-1635m. Targets are 1.5MOA on average.

Cost: $350 pp which falls in line with OS Matches.

Season Points Race:
Points will compress each match and the Top 40 Scores at the end of the 3 Qualifiers will compete in the Season Finale. Eg: A Shooter may win 1 Match but that doesn’t secure his/her spot in the Finale. Spots will go to the most consistent Shooters out of the 3 Qualifiers. If you shoot all 3 events you have a better chance of getting into the Top 40.

ELR Match 1 “King of the Range” Registration Form

ELR here in Aust.

After my recent trip to NZ for Ko1M I’ve been sending emails near and far to try get ELR happening over here in Aust. Well the wait is over. 2026 Rifleman’s Hangout will be running 3 Qualifying 1 Mile Matches followed by a Season Finale in Oct. All Matches will follow the Ko1-2M rule book and scoring system.
If this takes off we will join forces with other countries and jump on the Ko1M international Calender in 2027.
