Some of the Wilga trip highlights: Pic1 Swamp Wallaby. Pic 2 Spotted Bowerbird Bower and the collection of gifts being green glass, vertebrate bones , screws and an assortment of other items..all to impress his potential mate. Spotted Bowerbirds use green and or white decorations and live in drier habitat as compared to Satin Bowerbird with his blue decorations and preference for subtropical rainforest. I could never get sick of seeing these things. Last photo of 'platelets' made by the Painted Button-quail as they scratch away the leaf litter spinning in a circle on one foot to find food just below. We flushed 5 Painted Button-quail out of the long grass but too quick to get photos.
